Section I: Lines and Veils

To ensure that the game is safe for all players, we'll use lines and veils. These tools allow players to let me know what they'd like to limit or omit from our game.

Veils are things can be in the game but you'd prefer not to be in focus. For example, a player may want to put a veil around "war" as a topic - they are okay with war existing in the game world, but doesn't want to have in-game scenes on an active battlefield.

Lines are things that the player wants omitted entirely. For example, a player with arachnophobia may want to put a line through "spiders". In that case, spiders do not exist in the game.

If you have a topic upon which you'd like to draw a line or a veil, even in the midst of play, please contact me directly and we will make it work. It's important to me that all my players feel comfortable with our collective narrative!

Section II: Open Door Policy

Connected to the prior section is the need for open communication. A safe game is an enjoyable game for all players. If at any time you have questions or concerns regarding possible content in the game (or any other aspect), feel free to contact me via a private message and we can make accommodations as needed.
