Ok, Delfarious retrieved his dagger. That map is right, but I deliberately withheld the measurements of the chapel since the party didn't get a chance to explore it fully yet. Fenna takes a piece of cloth and binds it tightly to her nose and mouth. "Let me explore a bit. If I am not back in 5 minutes, something will probably have happened to me." she says, before holding her breath and plunging into the fumes to explore a bit.

The party watches Fenna case the room, then keel over and fall asleep in the center aisle of the pews. Like Delfarious, she is alive and breathing but seemingly impossible to wake.

"Dangerous?! It's downright diabolical! It doesn't kill you, but it disables you and leaves you there as prey to whatever happens along. Hmmm, this will require some thought. I doubt that, even if we have rope, we can resist the vapors' effects for long enough to retrieve either of them, which would only leave more of us disabled. No, there has to be another solution." She paces as she ponders.

"Morgan!" Delfarious exclaims as Darlene fusses about another approach. "Do you know how to tie a lasso and throw it?! Or have you -- a grappling hook!? You could fish for our friends, and pull them to safety with your prodigious muscles!"
Question: is this a gas or some kind of enchantment, can we tell?

To be clear, the first idea is to tie the home to someone who rushes in to grab and extract one of our friends. And if they collapse, we outside the room with the other end of the room just pull them clear.Question: is this a gas or some kind of enchantment, can we tell?

I recall that Ezra had some rope but I think Kraagor took it. In any case, Morgan has plenty of rope (50') and she's happy to give you some.If I haven't mentioned it before, the poison is a gas that's coming from the four braziers in the corners of the chapel. The way they smoke makes it clear that this is some kind of poisonous incense.
