Hello fellow gamers!

I am brand new to the site, although not new to play by post. I've joined because I'd like to play, sure, but I'm also interested in learning to play on some new systems, so I'm looking for beginner friendly games.

I'm reasonably familiar with 5e and Pathfinder, and once upon a time I knew 3.5 pretty well. The world has moved on and there are all kinds of fascinating sounding game systems out there! FATE, and GURPS, and Lasers and Feelings! I'm looking to try something new, or a couple new things. Hopefully I'm not too old a dog.

I'm not afraid to spend money on a new rulebook, but I'm looking for gamemasters who are willing to do a lot of explaining to an enthusiastic player.

Thank you for keeping an old medium alive, even if it doesn't much resemble what I remember on IRC and BBS.
