SUPER FAIRY GODMOTHERS

💛💛💛💛💛

As the sun rises over the tops of polka-dotted toadstools, smiling at the clouds as it passes by, you notice a turtle seated quite comfortably on a little cloud just his size. He is holding a megaphone and reciting poetry to fey and mortals, great and small!

"Good morning to littles
To bigguns, to all!
Good morning and warning
’Tis time for the ball!
Put on your best dress
But press close to the wall
So you’ll not get stampeded
But guests who are tall!"

The cloud turtle does have a point. Shall you hug the wall, or take to the air?
OOC:
P2, what is the world of SFG like?—aside from toadstools and every living creature being bigger than you? (Even insects are slightly bigger than fairies, and there are no microscopic creatures in the game world. Why would something invisible to players exist?)

You are approached by a girl in a red hoodie and three dworks (dwarven orcs).

The girl says, "Hey! You look like the perfect partner. My BFF, Goldenhood? She bailed on me. And here I am off to the finals in the Great Tag-Team Dance-Off! Wanna take her spot? The price is fifty gees. We win, I’ll give you half."

One of the dworks warns you, "Don’t go to the club, kid. It’s a full moon tonight, and those werewolves can bust moves better than an all-singing, all-dancing zombie apocalypse."
OOC:
P3, it seems like Red is a Questgiver… and if you decline, you can probably expect the Dworks want something. Or maybe they don’t. But one thing is certain. No matter what you choose, a tune will start up and you’ll need to work your magic!

Whether you go into the club or stay on the street, feel free to describe the fantasy world about you.

Also… you are a Level 17 Dancing Queen. You have a spell that can be used to enhance your performance (3d6-Sprite) or attack enemies (3d6-Hero), and you have 3 MP (3 uses of the spell).

You step into the ring, and there he is… sneering at you.

—M. Kangaroo, leader of Shadowroo!

"What I did to your family was the most important day of your life. But for me… it was Tuesday. A particularly rainy Tuesday. The coming rain made my knees ache, and the trickling sound made me regret that second cup of coffee. And while I was in the restroom you talked your father into leaving so I never did get the chance to murder him.

"So I waited… waited for you to grow to adulthood, enter my tournament, earn your way to the final match where you would face MEEEEE!"

He points past your corner of the ring—at a man in the front row—your dad.

"Now instead of murdering your father in front of you, I will out-kickbox you in front of him… and then I will perform my finishing move: The Babality! Your father will have to raise you for ANOTHER EIGHTEEN YEARS! MUUUHAHAHA!"
OOC:
P4, embellish as you please about the Feet of Rage tournament. Also, you have a rage meter. When you use 1-3 🔥s, you can roll 3d6-Hero to attack. When you use 🔥🔥🔥🔥, you can roll 4d6-Hero to attack. Anytime you combo, describe the move and/or name it.

You brandish your Level 99 weapon, The Broadsword of the Thundering Tundra!

Pira's grins as she examines the claws of her glove, demonstratively ignoring the prattling of the genetically modified kangaroo for a few moments before lazily stretching and yawning in his face.

"Please, is this all you've got, Mr. Coward-roo? Let's be honest, if not for Jin taking down your boss King Panda, you'd still be hiding from me in your lair, tail between your legs, shaking over your vault full of golden carrots. Admit it, you pathetic excuse for a challenger - without the help from King Panda and his serum, you would've never stood a chance against my home village! Why, I'm sure even my grandma can still kick you fluffy butt into the fourth dimension!" She flexes as the crowd goes wild at this absolutely impeccable burn.

"You can do it, Pira!" Cheers Jin Kakutouka's girlfriend Lass Amora, and the rest of the group follow suit, yelling out encouragements over the tournament announcer declaring round one of the match.

Pira narrows her eyes, shifting into a battle stance, and feels the rage course through her veins. Finally, it is time to show Mr. Kangaroo and his posse of low-lives what an actual warrior of the jungle looks like!

"Shredding Fury!" She springs into action, jumping into the air and flying at Mr. Kangaroo with her claws gleaming in the light! "Take this, you scoundrel!"

As Pix darts up to the sky, she looks down at the pretty rainbow lawn below, freshly trimmed by the mowerbeetles! And within seconds, she also notices the gaggle of princesses on the footpath.

"Eep," squeaks a tiny voice below. It’s a brownie! She’s a kind of fairy that’s twice your size, but wingless. The stampeding princesses seem to pay no heed to the earthy-crunchy munchkin. If they’re not careful, that poor little fey will be earthy-crunched!

You could try to swoop and carry her to safety, but she’s too big for you to carry while flying, if at all.

Fortunately, Rose happens to be flying by. "HI hiiiiiiii, Pix! I see that our wingless friend is in a fix. I’ll save her before she’s in a wreck!" Rose waves her Flower Wand… but she gets all trembly-fingers whenever a fairy is about to be trampled.

She drops the wand—

"Whoopsie daisy!"

Maimroy, the middle head, utters a glitchy "A-A-A-bzzt!" as its eyes dim on each hemisphere of its split head.

Kilroy and Dest-Roy flop like fish! Wires and broken metal snake from the halves of the busted bot! You can step back out of the way, or take your chances and attack at least one of them while they transform.

Pix’s spell makes the Brownie grow bigger and bigger. The flowers grow too to cover her ever-growing body. Soon she is a fifty-foot-tall jolly green giantess.

"Why, hello, little princesses. I see you have no coach. Shall I give you a hand?"

She offers her hand as a seat. The princesses make sure to giggle at the pun. It’s not only polite, but also just a really bad idea to let a fifty-foot woman’s attempt at humor fall flat.

The giant brownie laughs too. Mountains shake. She tromps off carrying the princesses who are grateful, especially the ex-mermaid with new legs and the one wearing snugly-fitting high-heeled shoes made of glass.

Rose cheers, "Way to go, Pix! You totally earned that wand!"

You can see that the princesses are headed toward Lake Sparkleheart. If you fly there now, you can get there in time to see a romantic sunset. (Or just catch the next one. They happen every 24 minutes.)

After the sunset, you can head into the palace and help Shim match-make… or you can fly up to the starry sky. Liv is probably up there on her Moon Boat. (The moon is always crescent not because of Super Fairy-o World’s shadow, but because the moon is a flying canoe!)

She complains to one in particular, having never discovered what is at fault for the sudden breaks in actions, but feeling the need to voice her simmering rage anyway. "I've been waiting to beat that kangaroo for years! Or hours! Whatever, long enough to want to do it right now!"

Pira huffs and gloomily looks around at the frozen crowd - and then immediately does a double-take. Because the crowd is not here, and instead she sees... a castle?! And the hot blond woman with a giant blade from before, similarly frozen in one position but glaring at Pira as if she was the one responsible for randomly dragging her into the tournament grounds. Or was Pira dragged to the castle? Either way, it was definitely not her fault!

You realize there is work to be done, so you head over to the castle! The basement window was left open, most likely because Sir Rantsalot’s man cave needs to air out after Uno Night.

You make your way past a table cluttered with folded cards, overturned goblets and bright orange crumbs, and you slip through an inch-wide crack in the wall. You need to keep your wings pressed tightly against your back, contort yourself, shimmy… and don’t forget to duck this time! The Duke of Burl tamped a wad of chewed gum in your secret passage, and it’s not only gross but it takes a week to wash the stickiness from your hair—as Shim learned the hard way!

It’s a nice little joke, but the crowd knows it’s your Aurora Borealis Boogie that won the day!

Still giggling at the wolves as they swear toothy vengeance in the parking lot, she hands you a quarter!

Pira looks around, but before she has a chance to exclaim her intrigued befuddlement at the the pink and green fog or respond to the blonde's question, their surroundings shift again and the world becomes slow. Much, much slower than Pira has patience for, which instantly boosts her rage meter beyond its third stage and prompts the fighter to try and wave her hands around in an attempt to break whatever this slow motion nonsense is.

"If this some of the ridiculous Shhiinto magic, I'm going to punch their grandmaster!" She announces into the air, sending a glare towards the temple before looking back at the barbarian. "No idea what this is, hottie! Your sword's glowing, though."

"Wait-wait-wait, who are you again?" Pira struggles through the fog after the blonde, then coughs from the thick glitchy air getting - slowly - into her lungs. "Bleh, this is some wacky spell, it's not even charged with rage! But still, you can't punch the grandmaster, I want to do that; he's like this big hat ancient warrior, and everything!"

She stops as they reach the vending machine, taking a breather and then glancing at the cans inside. "See that price? Atrocious, right? They don't even recharge all your action points." Pira eyes the machine in consideration: "Jin usually kicks them to get the goods..."

Pix’s wand pops the bubble!

Lying on a flashing red floor are two dented green cans, both leaking a bubbly liquid that smells vaguely of lemon or lime. The cans are both labeled "Sprite."

You can tell the liquid is a carbonated beverage like one you might purchase at any under-21 club or Shim’s Royal Soda Fountain.

The cans must have fallen from way, way above! When you look up, the ceiling begins to fade to 50% opacity. Pix and Kurumi are also half-invisible—and the flashing red floor is going up, up, up…!

You’re on a Phase-o-vator! You have never heard that term in your life, but somehow you know this. Or somehow, you’re being told…
PLEASE KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET INSIDE THE PHASE-O-VATOR UNTIL IT HAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.

By the time you’re done listening to the echoing feminine voice, the Phase-o-Vator has come to a complete stop.

You are now in a grand city! There are skyscrapers or extremely tall shiny rectangles that probably definitely have minigames inside, and trees that endlessly rain petals of cherry blossoms.

This is obviously—

—the secret area you can find with Rose’s wand!

—Tokyo, a city that has not one but TWO under-21 dance clubs!!

Thundra and Pira enter the temple through the main entrance. Meanwhile, Pix and Kurumi enter a sky-scraper’s lobby entrance that looks exactly like a samurai-era Shinto temple on the inside which is not strange at all. Obviously, this club is one of those thematic places. Ah yes… they even have play the tai ko!

You can all hear a boom, boom, boom… the beating of a big drum! The tai ko is always played in the Grandmaster’s dojo! This drumming sounds like an elephant’s ass! Amazon drummers put more heart into it and play louder!

You don’t see the drummers… or anyone but each other, for the moment. But as the drumming intensifies, masked men in black tear through walls that seem to be made of paper. They wield katanas (wimpy swords), naginatas (knives on long sticks—a coward’s weapon), and oni clubs. (That is actually an impressive weapon.)

"Who the $#%& are all of you, people?!" Pira yells in pure frustration as she tries to dodge the completely uncalled for attack from the spear wielder. Like, whatever, random goons popping out of nowhere is par for the course for this place, but why are there suddenly a petite winged girl who looks straight out of a fairytale and a pop idol using the temple mats as a dance floor? This is wild even by the tournament's standards! "If you are here for the tournament, the receptionist is so not here, and if you're all Shadowroo or whatever, at least declare it, you cowards!"

The attack is indeed uncalled for! Pira is not used to a bunch of guys entering what is obviously a ring and striking before the round number has been announced! In fact, the announcer isn’t even here! This is not the Tokyo Pira has frequented throughout her fighting career!

Pix has played plenty of Dodge Block, so while swordplay ain’t no minigame, the objective is very clear: don’t get hit. Being unaccustomed to harming others, Pix uses magic to hinder a foe!

The monk tries to grab Kurumi, but he can’t even catch her! She dances circles around the monk! He flails at the dancer ineffectively!
"Your form is excellent. Perhaps I have underestimated you." He sinks into a lower stance—

—but before he can attack, he’s forced to dodge a spiked club twirling through the air, as Thundra suplexes her foe’s head through the ground!

Pira lands a kick in the chest of her cowardly opponent. He trips over his unconscious friend!
OOC:
• Pix’s magic has made the floor unstable. Combined with Kurumi’s distraction, you get a free round to escape or strike.
• One enemy is KO’d by Thundra, and the one Pira hit just needs to be sneezed on.
As the enemies are trying to get their bearings and finish the job (or get KO’d trying), some of you notice the temple shrine is very bright and colorful because it’s a jukebox!

Pira tilts her head at the sight of Thundra picking up the weapon. This usually didn't happen during the tournament, since everyone had their own gimmicks and stuck by them from qualifiers to the finals; like her piranhas, or Lass's ridiculous heart stick. Getting new weapons seems weird. But exciting! Although she really ought to stop staring at the blonde's abs (but can you blame her?) and figure out what on earth is going on.

"Alrighty-o, you!" Piranha twists on her heels to glare at the unfortunate opponent trapped in... are these roots? Growing directly from the floor? As long as it works, she supposes. "Tell me who you are and why are you here and where did you hide the monks, or my buddy over there is going to stab you with a cactus!" She winks at the small magic girl, trying to convey a message of "Pretend to be scary!" so they can intimidate the opponent.

The bargain bin ninja replies, "You brought invaders into our space, Pira T. Piranha. I fought to protect the grandmaster’s temple!

"But I have failed and must fall on my…"
He makes a futile attempt to grasp his blade. But the katana is outside the warpwood cage. "Ahh, nuts."

The BOOM BOOM BOOM of the big drum grows ever louder, even as the Hypno Dance song plays.

The walls of the temple start to shake.

The captive points toward a stairwell. "If you seek Aka Nishin, he awaits your team on the third floor. But you must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance! Hahaha, ha ha ha, HA HA heh… huh."

His maniacal laughter quickly fades. It’s really awkward to be the only person laughing while trapped in a cage you can’t even stand up in.
May 10, 2024 4:32 pm
Pira gives the ninja a look of utter disappointment in his maniacal laughter - even she could do better back in her villain days, - and crosses her arms at him. "I did no such thing! I'll let you know that this is the first time I see these so-called invaders; and honestly, if you're really the monks of this temple, then your hospitality is rubbish and you should be ashamed. Also you ruined the walls of your own building, and that is a potential insurance fraud."

The opponent's morale properly crushed, she then turns to blink at the three... invaders. "...So, are you actually here for the grandmaster? Or the tournament?" She tilts her head skeptically at the winged one. "I haven't seen either of you before. Well, I'm Pira! Pira the Piranha. And this is Bitey," she briefly pulls out her piranha plush. "And the blonde lady with a big stick is Thundra the Thicc, the razer of robots, the destroyer of droids and something else about frozen wastelands. Waster of wastelands? Pira is visibly excited by the introductions and is about to ask Kurumi whether she is an idol or royalty or both when yet another interruption occurs - and this time a fire hazard, no less! At this point she is starting to really question where the grandmaster gets his budget to rebuild the temple after each... whatever is happening right now. An impromptu tournament? An unwarranted assassination attempt? Insurance scam? They didn't even have a proper introduction sequence until just now; the gall!

"Look, grandpa, I'm always up for a good brawl, but your motley band is starting to get annoying!" Piranha glares at Sheng Long and the eight cronies, then flips her ponytail to the side. "Fine, you wanna mess with me and these three gals I don't really know but already like, you better be prepared to be bitten! In a bad way!"

She pauses, then side-eyes the ninja still sitting in the cage next to her. "...And you better sit put, I'm not interested in dealing with a stage hazard today; besides, those are cheap. Like grabs."

Damage from fire is -🩷 and -❤️, and let’s have Kurumi’s dance be the distraction that lets heroes attack first.
The villains are surprised to see their biggest target dodging easily! They make a tight formation, as if ready to talk things out—but as Kurumi gracefully dances out the flames on her shoes, the nunchuck guy takes a swing.

"Not cool, Mikey! I had a whole monologue ready to go. Now I gotta save it for when we send these ladies TO THE ALLIGATOR PIT…"

Sheng Long’s men give him a horrified stare.

"…where you will feed heads of cabbage to the vegan alligators," he groans. "Alligators these days." He raises his fist and commands his minions: "KNOCK THEIR SOCKS OFF!!"
OOC:
Each of you have two opponents coming at you, but you get the feeling that a single hit from your attack would knock one out. You can’t get to Sheng Long by rolling an attack, unless you roll a combo. (Narrate how you take down a minion and hit him.) A super combo gets you to Sheng Long without the risk of being ganged up on (since it means you take down both of the minions that are in your face). Roll HERO to attack. 3d6-HERO to attack with the spiked club.

Wallflower and Hypno Dance may hinder more than one minion, even from a single hit. Roll 3d6-SPRITE to cast these special spells, if you choose to. 2D6-SPRITE can be used for a move that will keep your current foes busy. (But if you don’t combo, one of them will be able to attack you.)

She swings at one with her clawed gloves, attempting to slice their ninja-esque attire, and maybe also defeat the other by sheer intimidation factor. "Wrong threat, Sheng Long, I've been getting along with alligators ever since I was two! You better hope that I don't meet them, because otherwise you'd be fresh out of alligator allies very soon!"

Thundra KO’s both of her foes with a single CRACK of her ‘bat!’ Kurumi dances past her own opponents—and both heroines are closing in on Sheng Long!

The elderly master assesses the threats, and decides that the larger woman has the mightiest blows, but the dancer has uncanny defensive skills. She is not to be underestimated!

Sheng Long unleashes a flurry of hadoukens!!!
OOC:
Thundra, this guy ain’t fooling around. Roll 3d6 Anti-Hero to fend off an impossible amount of fiery projectiles!

Kurumi, same, but you only roll 1d6 Anti-Hero because you played the Hypno Dance on the jukebox. Until you cast the Hypno Dance spell (or until the song ends), your defensive roll is 1d6 (to your advantage).

Both of you may strike by rolling Hero or perform a different action after rolling Anti-Hero.
Pira takes out one foe. The other attempts a combo attack!
OOC:
Pira, roll 2d6 Anti-Hero to defend yourself.

Hit him back by rolling Hero!

NOTE: if the enemy hits you with a COMBO, your Rage meter will be full, allowing you to opt for a 4d6 attack roll.

OOC:
Pix, I’ll hold off on your corner of the ring until you post your action.

Pira clobbers her remaining opponent! Thundra unleashes barbarian heck on Sheng Long! He’s about to retaliate with his famous Cheap Punch, Cheap Punch, Turbo Uppercut combo—

—but Kurumi and two back-up-dancing ninjas are more than the boss can bear! Like his minions, Sheng Long is spiral-eyed from hypnosis!
OOC:
Sheng Long will snap out of hypnosis if hit. The special spell super-combo’d, hypnotizing the two remaining minions and also the boss!

Players’ choice to snap him out of it or take the win and head to the temple’s top floor, where Aka Nishin awaits…!

(Regardless of the choice, Kurumi and Pix keep the attack bonus they get from having cast their respective spells. And I owe Pira loot, but will see what you decide to do first.)
May 23, 2024 10:25 am
Thundra grunts in satisfaction as Sheng Long gets mezz'ed. "Come on, let us not tarry here!" She starts leading the way to the temple's top floor.
May 24, 2024 10:24 am
Warrior princess that she is, Thundra wastes no time leading the party to the chamber of Aka Nishin. There’s a boom-boom-boom sounding off as our heroines ascend the steps to the top floor.

The sound is not a drum. It’s coming from outside.

At the top of the steps, you see more men in black. Dozens of them. But before you can do more than adjust your stances, they step aside, kneel in seiza position, and bow—hands on the floor, foreheads lowered to their hands.

The men are lined in columns, leaving you a wide path to the one man still standing. He is dressed in red, costume fish-themed similarly to Pira’s.

As you walk past the men, to either side of you are stone gardens with tiny waterfalls. One might expect calico koi swimming between the pools, but the only fish are aka nishin. Red herrings.

Aka Nishin bows as masters bow to equals, deftly—hands by his side, thirty degree angle, eyes meeting yours.

"It is said that one must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance. You defeated him easily, and in a way that bruised his ego more than his body. There is no further need to test you."

When he stops speaking, you notice the boom-boom-boom comes and goes. You hear other sounds accompanying it. A cracking sound. Something distant, high-pitched… birds? A whole flock in a panic?

"Pira. These friends of yours are not the only outsiders that have mysteriously invaded our world. When the machines overtook Australia, you were whisked away by their… portal.

"M. Kangaroo remained behind and, as one might predict, he aligned with them. He embraced the change."

Pix, Kurumi and Thundra are very familiar with Questgivers. They tend to be very capable of solving any problem on their own or have an army at their command, yet they always ask a young warrior to solve everything on her own, or with a teammate or three.

Pira knows this Aka Nishin guy has her same move set that she had in her earlier days, yet somehow, she recognizes him as being legitimately a master. Maybe it’s because he’s old. In any case, she can sense there won’t be a fight in here. If she wants to know what’s happening to her world (or the tournament), this guy might actually have answers.
May 25, 2024 5:40 pm
Pira blinks at the old man and starts opening her mouth to ask one of the million logistical questions she has - from why sending assassins is his greeting of choice to how exactly they know about her companions being outsiders when she doesn't even know it, - but then stops. Because she has a suspicion that if she asks them, it will activate the master's exposition mode - something all overly wise-looking people apparently have in them. Darn, even Jin sometimes went full-on exposition with his battle monologues, and that was an absolute pain with Pira's inability to stand still during a cutscene.

"Kay, got it!" She finally speaks and makes finger guns at Aka Nishin. "We're doing a spin-off, weird aliens invaded Australia, these three and me are the main hero crew, and we're going to beat up newly cyborg-ified Shadowroo. Tell me where's our ride, and we'll hop right on it!"

She pauses, then looks at the other girls with a tilt of her head: "If you three are cool with coming along, 'course! I mean, it sounds like these invaders have something to do with you or whatever; are they your nemeses? Either way, we'll beat their derrière *so* bad!" She pumps her fist in the air, trying to imitate a heroic stance her sometimes-teammates are so proud of. "With the power of fire, dancing, blades and flowers!"

Aka Nishin escorts you to the balcony. What you see is chaos and destruction! There are panicking crowds fleeing as a skyscraper starts to crack… crack—CRACK! Black jagged lines zigzag all over the concrete structure, expelling rubble. Windows spiderweb and burst! The 14th floor collapses to the 12th floor, the 47-story building becomes 45 stories tall, 39… dust billows as the whole thing comes crashing down!

Through the haze, you see it. You see him. A kangaroo standing several stories tall, eyes glowing metallic blue. Behind him, a wake of destruction. You can only see what’s left of broken buildings.

Aka Nishin says to Pira, "No taxi is crazy enough to take you to Kanga-Roy." How the master already knows the bad guy’s name and why it isn’t Kill-Roo, which sounds better, is best left unasked. "You must travel on foot."

A street lamp topples, the light bursting into shards and sparks as it collides with the temple rooftop. Pira, Thundra and Kurumi can slide down the metal pole—
OOC:
Please start your post by narrating how cool (or uncool, if you prefer) your heroine looks as she slides down the toppled lamppost! It’s metal and at a ~45-degree angle. Pix can fly, of course.
—from the street, you can see the tromping feet up ahead, and through the dust clouds, the shadow of the colossal mechanized beast! As it thrashes about, there are panicking crowds. And among the screams, you hear cries for help!

A woman’s voice is coming from within the smoky cracked windows of a flaming car! Its hood is mashed against the corner of a building that’s on the verge of collapse!

A man with a tire iron is trying to pry open a bent door, but he drops his tool as he is pelted by rubble raining down from above!
OOC:

• Roll 2d6 Sprite to make a deft or stealthy move. This helps the team get closer to the enemy without being noticed (by his laser-eyes)!

No matter what, you won’t be close enough to attack on this turn.

May 29, 2024 10:30 am
Thundra leaps onto the bent pole and grinds down its length, her leather boots seemingly having the proper frictionless soles to do such a thing! As she leaps down and surveys the chaotic scene, she quickly sees the woman trapped in the car. The barbarian rushes over, grabs the hood of the car, and rips it clean off to free the woman! "Go! Get out of here!" she shouts.

Along the way she stops and enters a shop where a small girl was crying. She grabs her but when they try to exit the building starts to collapse. "Oh no!" Kurumi says but without hesitation starts to dance through the falling ceiling and avoid any debris. As they exit the shop, Kurumi poses a heroic pose before she puts the girl to the ground and behind them a dust cloud erupts and covers them, from the falling building. They both cough heavily from the dust and then they look eachother and laugh.

"Now, go to your parents, okay?" she says to the girl and then she goes to find Thundra, Pira and Pix.

Kurumi and Thundra save the innocents at ground level. But suddenly there is another yelp from high above!

You all look up to see a carpenter in red overalls. He’s clinging to a purple girder protruding from a broken building—but his white gloves don’t have the best grip.

He falls, arms flapping wildly as he screams,

Pix swoops into the air and catches the rotund little workman!

OOC:
Pira can still act.
Jun 2, 2024 12:08 am
Pira outright ignores the pole as a method of getting down, instead jumping from one of the temple's slanted roofs to another. Besides, everyone knows that fall damage doesn't exist unless there are spikes underneath you, and the last time she checked there were no spikes around this building. Just weirdly talkative vending machines.

As they get onto their route to get the dastardly Kanga-Roy, Pira immediately sees the problem. Because Thundra, Pix and Kurumi all immediately go for saving the innocents. Which is, sure, great stuff; but it doesn't get them closer to the goal! That's something she absolutely butted heads with Jin's crew about, and now these otherworldly gals are doing the same? That just means she'll have to be the one getting everyone back on track, again. Or at least helping them do the saving faster, before they *all* get obliterated by a space laser or a universe-breaking kangaroo bot.

"You all better be darn thankful for it, random civilians!" She complains as she grabs a basket full of kitties - how did it get here, exactly?.. - about to be crushed by random debris and throws it at a petite old lady who looks like she's qualified to take care of some kitties. "Heads up, grandma!"
OOC:
...this qualifies as a heroic action, right? Pira isn't good at heroics. XD

Pira contemplates her teammates’ heroic efforts. It is a very real possibility that, if nobody finds a safe route to the gargantuan laser-eyed robo-monsteroo, well… that’s how heroines get laser-eyed.

But then, they’re heroines! Saving people is the bandwagon a hero should jump on. So, Pira taps that Jump button, and with all the people on the block already rescued, she finds the next-cutest victim: an arm fulla kittens!

The lady in the car, the guy told to go home, and the crazy cat lady give three cheers for our three heroines!

"HIP HIP H🩷❤️R🩵Y!!"

Unfortunately, this draws a lot of unwanted attention from the aforementioned laser-eyed kanga-bot!

It shouts,
"TASTE A RAINBOW OF PAIN."

It then fires lasers from its eyes, and they are entirely fuchsia, which is not anybody’s idea of a rainbow. Kanga-Roy might have been a lot more accurate about the pain part. Dodge lasers to not find out!
OOC:
Defensive roll first - 2d6 Anti-Hero to avoid the lasers!
Then take action! You can’t attack without getting closer!

"FRIENDSHIP? FRIENDSHIP?!"

The unfashionable smash-bot is flustered by Pira’s retort. Its eye-beams melt steel and shatter glass as it fires through three skyscrapers. Its Kanga-Box Combo bursts a water tower and topples twin smokestacks from the Steel Factory! It Reppa-Headbutt-Mashes a rooftop seconds after Pira leaps to safety! And its Combo Finish, Babality Breath, simply transforms a tree in the central park. It shrinks to become a healthy little sapling.

Thundra shatters her spiked club over Kanga-"Boy’s" metal head! Kurumi spin-kicks it in the teeth! And Pira adds injury to insult—only striking once, because one hit is all she needs…

There’s a deafening crash! The ground quakes! Our heroines instinctively bolt to safety…
…somehow they know the people of Neo Kobe were safely evacuated. And they made it out too, though they don’t recall running very far.

Kurumi, Pira and Thundra can feel cool grass at their backs. The air is pleasant, the fresh scent of spring blossoms in a gentle wind. Sunbeams dance through a misty mid-morning sky.
