Posting everybody’s potential characters here for ease of reference:

Alepous: Full slider fox tail cleric or monk
Brainiac: Human assassin or swashbuckler
DanWooper: Ritian sorcerer
ToDream: Catfolk partial slider monk
vyshian: Catfolk guardian or pirate

Good summary!

Guardian, Pirate, Monk, Assassin, Swashbuckler & Cleric are complete. Bard & Sorcerer need just a bit more work but are mostly complete. Druid, Enchanter & Huckster are under construction. I tried to prioritize the Classes everyone mentioned having an interest in.

Looks like a good group of characters so far. I'm looking forward to seeing them as a group in action!

@witchdoctor I think I'm settling on assassin. Some classes have starting equipment listed but assassin does not. Is this deliberate or an oversight?

I just haven't settled on what to give them. It boils down to a basic weapon, a basic armor type and a basic accessory with different names. I was concentrating on getting the Skills in and forgot to get around to it.

That's also for a basic character right out of the "tutorial" at Level 10. We couid start there or maybe around Level 20-ish (everyone having played a bit before the start of our game) and having some better/different equipment than the starting stuff. We can discuss the idea.

I've settled on Pirate. I was wondering if the [Agility] in skill descriptions was meant to be [Dexterity]? Also, do we want to discuss what subclasses and general skills we want to take together?

Yes, Dexterity was supposed to be Agility. I borrowed and adapted the Fabula Ultima character sheet that was already on GamersPlane and didn't catch that it listed the attribute name wrong. It's hard to see that when tinkering with the code 😂. I changed it to be accurate.

Pirate seems like it'd be a fun class to play.

Almost looks like I need to shift classes. We have a Warrior, Weapon Master, and Magic User for sure, but not a solid Support.

Nah. Just play what You want to play and let me worry about any holes. I'd hate for someone to play a class they feel forced into.

If we do enough damage to the enemies fast enough, we don't need to worry about having a healer. 😄

I've got the idea for my character pretty firmly set in my head, just have to find the time to make skill choices and record everything.

Should we just build our characters at level 1 for now or at a higher level?

The way things are built, following the instructions in the Character Creation Thread, that'll put a character at Level 10...fresh out of the game 'tutorial'. If you guys would be amenable, I was thinking of maybe starting out with you all having played Elder Tales a bit with each other and maybe putting you guys around Level 21 to 23 when our game starts.

What does everyone think about that option? Or would you rather start out at Level 10 having played through the tutorial as a group just before 'The Apocalypse'?

I put up a good bit of the Summoner Class and will be finishing out Sorcerer tonight. That just leaves Druid & Huckster to go. I'll probably write up a bit about SubClasses and how they work along with a list of the commonly chosen/easily established SubClasses too.

I think I'm missing just two submitted characters. A blank placeholder sheet would be fine. @Alepous,@ToDream

I don't really mind. Maybe the Apocalypse erased all our stats too?

Thinking about it a bit more, I think it would be more fun to start at level 10 fresh out of the tutorial. That way we won't have too much pre-existing knowledge about the game and the new world, so we can all experience it and learn about it together as we go along.

I think that's a consensus for starting fresh out of the tutorial. I think that does work well with exploring the world they've found themselves in with 'fresh eyes' but still knowing at least the basics of how the game would've worked back when it was a game...

I think just about everyone has a character sheet submitted so I'll aim to get the introductory post up soon. Thanks, everyone, for bearing with me while I got the Classes sorted and up into the game forum. I always underestimate how long it takes me to get everything from notes into a readable format.

Here is my character, his name is Fren. For clarification, is the game a medieval european or japanese or other culture? I am planning of drawing my avatar and want to know how to dress him.

The style of dress is ~vaguely~ fantasy European/JRPG but it's not uncommon for players to wear or use gear from other servers including the Japanese server. You could pretty much throw just about anything on Fren and be fine.

It's an MMO so how a player dressed their character depended a lot on A) what looked cool B) what they could get their hands on C) what worked well with their build.
