I think I've got at least a placeholder character sheet in for everyone but @ToDream. As far as I can tell everyone is kinda set on a race & class so I'll finish filling out the remaining Classes this weekend and aim to get an introductory in-play post up on Monday afternoon (CST) so we can get this party started!

I haven't fully filled out the character sheet yet, but I've made all the choices for my character, Raquel:

As long as you have your character data down somewhere to refer to everything should be fine. Keeping it in the character sheet let's you reference it by clicking the button with your character's name right below the Rolls Button.

Parsing the Code can be a pain. I don't mind entering your character data into the sheet if you don't feel like doing so.

That brings up a could of other points. Character Avatars. Everyone finding one to their liking? If not, I've got a catalog of images that might fit. Barring that, I could try I "A.I." one up if anyone needed it.

I'm working on my character sheet right now.

I do have to ask what the equipment stats are, however, since Monk equipment doesn't have direct equivalents in the Core Rules.

Also, do we start only with the Archetype/Class/Race abilities laid out in the Class write-ups, or do we get those at level 1 and level up all the way to 10?

Following the Character Creation guidelines puts your character at Level 10 at the end of the guide. It's departure from the standard Fabula Ultima rules. Essentially, your character exits the "MMO tutorial" at Level 10, which is a beginning character. This is where we'll start.

TL;DR: Your character is Level 10 at the end of the Character Creation steps in the thread. Your character should have 3 Archetype Skills,3 Class Skills, choose a Racial Skill and 3 General Skills. 10 choices, 1 for each "level" gained in the "MMO Tutorial", and then the character is released into the MMO.

Ok, I just updated my character sheet with the appropriate level 10 skills. I "cheated" a little, as I got the Phantom Tail racial skill and got me one from another race.

I think I have my character sheet submitted then.

I'm not seeing it submitted. If you go to the Gave Details page, it should have a list of players & GM about 3/4 the way down the image & should have a link beside your name that says ’Submit Character'. Click that & select the appropriate one you made from the list.

Edit: it's at the bottom of the page.

The first post is up (finally). It's a good spot to kind of introduce yourselves and get into a good Roleplay headspace for your characters.

You inhabit the bodies of your MMO characters brought to very real life but with the minds of the players that played them. Let's see where this goes...

Wow! Great opening posts!
I'll have a post up later this evening.

I'll give @DanWooper a bit longer to post but should be moving things along shortly. It's a long holiday weekend in the U.S.

@witchdoctor I don’t have my book on me at the moment, what do I roll for melee attack and damage?
May 30, 2024 10:15 pm
IIRC Raquel has a Katana or something similar?

The roll should be the same for a similar Assassin's starting weapon anyway... The equation is:

Attack Roll = [Agility]+[INSP]+1

Damage = [HR]+6 (Physical).
*Black Widow Combat Style adds her [Agility] die size as bonus damage.
*The Razor's Edge Warrior Archetype skill does the same thing, assuming you chose [Sword] type weapons to receive the bonus, so you'd add the die size twice to damage!
May 30, 2024 10:27 pm
Okay, and what is HR in this case? And damage would be HR+6+Agility+Agility?
May 30, 2024 10:36 pm
HR is the highest number rolled on either the [Agility] or [INSP] die.

Ex: the die roller gives you a 7 and a 4, the HR is 7.
Damage would be 7+6+Agility+Agility.

Awesome thanks! I'll get a post up later tonight.

I was delayed last night, but I've finished my post now. :)

Sorry to ask, but which attribute is the Agility? I have Jack of All Trades, so it's d8 for all my rolls.
