Ok I'm back and I have a couple of character creation questions!

- Since it looks like the current party comp is Monk/Pirate/Assassin/Cleric, I'm thinking of going for Sorcerer. What's the roll for their magic checks? [INS + WLP]? Or something else?
- Is the stats for a Beginner's Tome the same as a basic Tome in the book (so [INS + INS] accuracy with [HR] + 6 physical damage)? Is the damage bonus here the +6 part (For Lamentation Syntax purposes)?

@witchdoctor I may need your help with finding/generating a picture for my character, if you don't mind. I haven't been able to find anything suitable since a calico cat + pirate outfit is quite specific.

@witchdoctor I submitted a first draft of my character sheet! Rough concept for now is a middle-aged guy named Isbjorn who's estranged from a son he never knew he had, and wanted to connect with his son via the game! Unfortunately, when the Apocalypse happened he somehow got separated from his son and is now trying to find him.

Another question, are we doing inventory points, or is the 11 inventory slots our whole inventory?

That sounds like a good dramatic backstory! I like it!

@dirtyglass Your character looks good so I approved him. The only thing I think is missing is one more General Skill. He should start with 3 and you listed only 2. Other than that everything is good to go.

I think we can get your character added in after I post. I'll leave it to you. Jump in when you have time since it's probably pretty late in your time zone currently.

Fire away. I'll answer where & when I can. Things are still getting loaded into the Forums so parts are missing in places but they're coming. I always underestimate the amount of time it takes to type and format everything.

It definitely does. I still have to add a few skills and I’m not sure what to do with initiative.

Question: can I apply the human skill, Custom Weapon, to a musical instrument (which I hit enemies with via my chosen fighting style: Bard Style)?

…oh, and two more questions:
• 1. What does Explorer do? (That’s one of the bard’s starting archetypal skills.)

• 2. Do I get equipment?

Hm, I thought I'd put Explorer in already... Guess not. I'll get it in when I work on the Forums tonight. What it does is alter the chances for Encounters during Travel, boosting or reducing the chances of monster encounters and reduce Fatigue for the Bard due to Travel.

Custom Weapon should apply to an Instrument, considering they tag as a Weapon, oddly enough.

Yes, Bards start with: choice of Weapon or Instrument, Performer's Outfit, Traveller's Bag.
• this equates to a Starter Weapon (Instruments count), Starter Armor and the Bag has an expanded Inventory.
