When you gave a 'die size bonus' to damage, you don't have to roll it. It just adds the highest # possible on the die to the result. *[HR] is the highest die result on the Attack Roll.

In Raquel's case, her damage result would be:
[HR]+weapon dmg+Razor's Edge+Black Widow Style+Assassination

10+6+10+10+11 : 47 !!

In Isbjorn's case, it comes to:
[HR]+spell DMG+Energy Mastery

8+15+10 : 33 ❄️v. Vulnerability= 66 Damage!!
Isbjorn is also using a damage type King Triffid is Vulnerable to AND he rolled a Critical! (rolling the same number on both dice) and may choose one relevant result from the table on p. 41 in the book.
The downside is that Isbjorn also picked up 4 Aggro...

Thanks for the correction, I forgot all of that since the first fight, lol. I tried looking back at my earlier posts to see what the damage should be but I guess I looked at the wrong one. :)

I totally misread Energy Mastery holy shit XD But also oops, the aggro 😅

Opportunity! We don't really know its attributes, but I think inflicting Weak to reduce Might would probably good.

Aggro is doubled using attacks tagged with a Damage Type a monster is vulnerable to. Between Isbjorn and Arga, it's going to be a battle all unto itself to manage Aggro and still do damage... Ah, the fun complexities of MMO combats :D

Also, I'd like everyone to rate a look at the grid to make sure I've got everyone's HP/MP totals correct.

Should I create a Thread to host a short-form version of everyone's character sheets? The custom one is definitely hard to parse to update things & I don't want to miss any skills or abilities the characters have as they level up so I can balance encounters properly. All I'd need is a brief overview of HP/MP, Def/M.Def and a list of race, class & general Abilities. Nothing fancy, just an index card style overview.

Isbjorn's MP is 76, since I also took 1 level of Gifted. I also think the overview is a good idea!

Atalanta is Lv 11 Catfolk Monk.
Beginning HP & MP are calculated as 5x Race + 5x Class HP & MP.

Catfolk get 6 HP & 6 MP/level
Monks get 8 HP & 4 MP/level

5 x 6 = 30 & 5 x 8 = 40 | 30 + 40 = 70 HP @ Lv 10
5 x 6 = 30 & 5 x 4 = 20 | 30 + 20 = 50 MP @ Lv 10

Atalanta gained a level from fighting the Goblins; going from Lv 10 -> Lv 11 (an odd # Level). Odd # levels add the Race HP & MP to your total ( 6 HP & 6 MP) raising the total to:
76 HP & 56 MP

The next time Atalanta levels to Lv. 12 (an Even # Level) Monk HP & MP would be added (+8 HP & +4 MP)

*sone races have Racial Abilities that can add extra HP/MP and throw that off a bit but I don't think Catfolk have that as a possibility. Some Classes have Abilities like that too.

I think maybe you might've been adding Class & Race HP/MP together for each level. Its just one of the other, not both. 👍. That'd get some crazy high numbers really fast!

So I think we've got rolls & actions in for almost everyone.

Fren needs a Roll for his Action of mounting the King Triffid; I'm thinking [Agility]+ [Agility] vs DC 8. It's big but moving.

Atalanta needs a declared action & associated roll.

After that, I'll make the NPC moves, enemy moves & stitch everything together in a post. After that comes everyone's next move, rinse & repeat.

Well… I just thought Brad told them to hold off because they got hit. Heh..?

Also, I forgot to post where I’m hitting the monster, but I believe Maestro’s Echo has to hit whichever part of the monster Isborn hit with his attack.

Taunting Shout doesn't need an Attack Roll & doesn't do damage (tho there might be some combo interaction or gear that could obtain that effect, I guess). It just bumps Aggro up by 3, drawing attention within Medium Range (~30 meters). The range limit is a feature that probably prevented some exploit involving using it at longer ranges.

Ah I thought that was the case. If a roll isn't needed, please just consider my latest action to be a normal taunting shout where I shoot the boss to get its attention on me. I'm trying to build up aggro before our sorcerers blast the boss again :D

I'm fairly certain Raquel's Katana gives a +1 on Attack Rolls. I seem to remember that from the Goblin battle. I'll go back & look.

edit: yes, yes it does. So that a 10 & a hit!
Her Katana has the Stats: Attack +1, Damage [HR]+6

Fren's Sword & Atalanta's Bronze Fist have the same Stats, FYI.
Calamity's Pistol has no Attack Bonus but does more Damage at [HR]+8.
Isbjorn's Tome has no Attack Bonus but does [HR]+6 Damage. Heavy book & iron bindings must hurt!
Grace's Bass has a bonus if Attack +1 & [HR]+4 Damage. It's big but not as heavy as a mace or hammer, nor sharp like a sword. Thankfully, it shouldn't shatter like a real world instrument would.

These are all 'starter weapons' so they're kinda same-y. Once you have a little money & a little loot, you can change up your gear and start to have some real fun with equipment!
