What would be a good tool for a tactical officer, would a pair of walkie talkies be okay? Cause he would use that in case he was to get separated from the main group.

It makes since that in addition to each of you having basic weapons you would also have minor electronics, like a smartphone, but they are limited in their functionality without the supporting infrastructure.

A tactical device would be designed to operate with or without the infrastructure and could even tie into other devices without a supporting network. So yes, If you want a Comms and data system, either as a stand alone device, integrated into a pack of some sort, or integrated with your suit/armor go for it.

Tactical recon system :
short range universal wireless coms system (RF, IR, microwave,etc)
Minor integrated sensors : gyroscope, magnetic, illumination, microphone, camera
Minor data storage

@QuingSolaris : The visors default function is a visual display of radiation intensity. This lets you use thermoscopic vision but it does have other indicators but you will have to roll to control or interpret them. Ex: with it on a flashlight might look the same as an IR lamp or X-ray source

Ok, will have it as a stand alone device, something that he can pack away when not using, but able to keep if he has to change his attire.

To act as a relay it requires a stronger antennae and power so is about the size of a lunch box, full fanny pack, etc
Go ahead and submit your character in Game Details (Bottom Right footer of page), even if you are not done, so I can look it over

We have 1 PC that needs a new player and the other gets a mystery character. Both characters will have their race and role defined and you can fill out the rest of the character options.

@Turanel2 selected the character

Stinger, Sam, Alandra, and Krom can all add their Weapon or Trade that was previously unknown
They can also fill out character belief if they have not already done so

Sounds great! Thanks! I added medical Doctor because it seems the most likely based on the story. I think it was Smuggler, but I don't think that fits anymore.

@KaeJae the Autoborg/Comms existing PC. Other than race and Role you can design it as you please (guidelines below)

Character creation steps
1. Select a Role and Heritage, post both to claim them.
1a. Your heritage comes with a trait
1b. Each role will also have an assigned trait for this game
2. Pick one trait that your character will be aware of. (No Psionics)
2a. Your characters third trait will be discovered later. This is part of the fun of waking up with selective amnesia. :)
3. Pick either
3a. A weapon group to be proficient with and mastered weapon to start with
3b. A Family trade
4. You will pick your belief after 1 week of game play as your character get to recreate their identity.
5. Character will begins with a trade tool or minor xenotech. If you have any specific interest let me know.

Ok, so Autoborg Comms officer with Communications trait. For the aware character trait, I'll go with Perceptive (we'll call it augmented senses even though its not form the cyber traits list). If I can split the weapon groups, I'll take Light Ranged as proficient, but mastered Brass Knuckles (Armored Fist).

Name: CZ530 ("CZ" for short). Appearance: Vaguely female, but hard to tell under all those augmentations and doo-dads.

Does that work?

Expand the above box and click "Create Character" then fill out the sheet and save it. Once saved you can click "Game details" from this page and submit the character to the game.

mastered weapon has to be from a weapon you are proficient with. So light range weapon => pistol mastery
Pick a minor xenotech device or tool of you trade/role to add to your basic starting gear.

Ok, quick note, Autoborg are full electronic and mechanical life.
I will assume you want weapons first and will regain your memory and advantage for you Trade later
So do you want a minor Xenotech or advanced role/trade gear to add to your gear?

No set list just describe something related to communications or electronics. How about an advanced portable scanner (start trek tricorder) or perhaps a drone of some kind with some electronic systems. Coms, tools, other...

OK, @ForeverDED, the current open slot is the apparently schizophrenic transforming Autoborg Comms officer.
Besides the race and role you are free to create your character as you wish. Since you are familiar with the system and everyone else just got upgraded, you can go ahead and start with trade, race, role trait, + 2 traits, weapon proficiency, one mastery, gear, etc. Let me know if there are questions

Schizophrenic transforming Autoborg Comms officer? That's quite the mouthful. By schizophrenic, I'm guessing that's because I'm going to occupy the autoborg's same body but the personality will be different since the previous players went MIA.

I have Tiny Dungeon, but not Tiny Frontiers. While I understand step 1...

I'm assuming that these aren't the same as they are in Tiny Dungeons. Do I need to purchase Tiny Frontiers to answer steps 2-5? Are they listed somewhere? I looked but couldn't find them in this forum.

Most of the traits from tiny dungeons are in tiny frontier. I'll get you an update on the differences in a minute.
+ Pick 2 traits
+ Pick a trade (same as dungeon just applicable to future sci-fi setting)
+ Belief of the same idea as in dungeon
+ Treat xenotech as magic. Basically it's tech so advanced you do not fully understand it. So you either get 1 minor xenotech or 1 advanced weapon or piece of gear
