I will pull the door open you guys cover me if their is a hostile on the other side.
Just like she did on the officer's cabin she uses her cyber arms to get a grasp on the door and the jam and pulls them apart, only this time she is kneeling so the others have a clear view above her.

After spending several minutes doing what she can to bypass the door locks Sam is able to insert a tool into the doors and braces her arms then with a cybernetic augmented flex she is able to finally get the doors open. Inside you see a large room for relaxation or greeting guests. There are two doors, one to either side, and another on the far side of the room that is still sealed with blast doors. sealed by heavy blast doors. The rooms has a seating area with a couple chairs, couch, and holo table. The walls are decorated with start charts, art and pictures of astral phenomenon and photos of people. There is also a dining table with a small kitchenette and several cupboards.
In the middle of the room stands a figure.

Great work Sam! Stinger admiration of Sam's work is as big and honest as the first time he saw her opening stuff.
Looking inside the captain's quarters, Stinger notices the standing figure surrounded by furniture. Greetings, I'm Stinger, nice to see you are well. Who are you?

Raising their hand above palms forward in a now hostile gesture, seeing the Nain wielding the the shock staff. Avro is the name, but I don't have any memories since we left port more than a month ago. Based on the uniform, I must have been an ensign but I am not sure of that either. And I especially have no idea why I was powered down in the captains quarters. The Captain, I think, is in a stasis med pod in the next room. pointing over their shoulder with a thumb in the direction of the next room.

Alandrea finds a human male that matches the captain from what records she has been able to recover is in stasis and infected similar to the rest of you. However the pod indicates the captain can not be revived due to ongoing treatment for previous injuries. However all it notes is that the captain authorized full life saving measures. At the time of entering stasis he suffered from minor blast burns, a stab wound, and the virus. While the stab and burns have been treated the virus is still present and the pod diagnostics has logged increasing severity of issues simply flagged "Anomalous".
A quick check from Sam reveals that the stasis pod has not been infected. Moving to the other systems Sam is elated to find that all of the systems of the captains suite are fully intact with no sign of any of the computer virus or it's scrambling effects. This is likely due to the fact that the captain's quarters are entirely independent, another post production modification. Though the systems do not have a full copy of the ships logs it does have the captains as well as a few key items. With this you should be able to speed and improve the reconstruction of the other corrupted ship logs.As Sam and Alandra check the systems Stinger does a quick check of the 3 rooms while Krom sits with Avro in the captains lounge. CZ530 starts looking into systems once Sam declares them safe.

Seeing the Nain lower their weapon, Avro relaxes somewhat and settled into a chair near the Tyranax. While the other crew members busy themselves around the captains quarters, Avro's mind is busy trying to place each of them. Trying to clear that fog of memory loss.

After checking the Captain's med pod, Alandra returns to Avro.
"Hello, how are you feeling? I need to give you a quick medical scan. We need to check if you are infected or not.", she says and pulls out her PDA.

Stinger checks the 3 rooms. He started with the office, and when he got to the common room...
Hello Avro, I'm pilot Formigum Whiteblade, but everyone call me Stinger. Welcome back to the crew!
We are all down on our memory, but it gradually comes back. Don't force it or you may get headaches.
Stinger continues checking the holo-table curious about it's navigation info.
Do you remember having any speciality, as ensign?

Sam comes into the room and begins to check all the electronics and mechanical parts of the ship. Avro see what looks like someone who has just graduated school, though with a toolbelt.
In responding to the question of who she is she waves a hand and says, I am Sam the ship's engineer. Don't hurt the ship and we will be fine.

As you chat a sudden beeping from the captains sleeping quarters catches your attention. As you investigate you find tha tthe cryo pod is blinking multiple lights and sounding a variety of allarms. Rushing over Alandra moves to check on the system only to see something odd through the view window. Inside the pod the captain has opened his eyes. But according to the pod controls he should still be in cryo-stasis. Even more disconcerting is that the captains eyes have entirely turns a pale blue. As you look on the color spreads and soon the eyes and much of the face gleam in the ship lights looking more crystalline than human.
Jul 9, 2024 1:48 pm
"What in the helix!", she says and takes a step back in shock, momentarily forgetting her training. The crystalline face stares blankly forward and she has to force herself to check the med pod console.
Her hands shake as she looks at the system, trying to figure out what caused the metamorphosis.
"Something is wrong. Something is very wrong.", she thinks as she checks the screen.

The pod reports the same as before except the captain appears to be conscious as indicated by neutral activity though his heart is beating only about once a minute as is standard for cryo sleep. You try to look deeper and all you discover is his skin composition is slowly changing to a crystallin state. You attempt to get a sample but the pods controls do not respond though the sensors and status functions remain responsive.

"Eh everyone! Is this normal for this guy to do this?!" Krom shouted as the man in front of them is turns into some kind of ice creature.
"We have to stop him before he does any damage to the ship!" He shouts as he reaches for anything blunt around them and strikes at the man with it.

As Krom starts slamming the cryopod cracks form on the glass panel. The pod instantly starts beeping an alarm indicating system integrity may fail if additional damage is taken. The entire device then shudders as the bed and top half of the pod, with the glass face, retract slightly and armor begins to extend from the sides, top, and bottom to fully enclose the pod. You recognize this as an advanced survival pod, usually sold to wealthy clientele as a last measure should their ship be damaged beyond repair. It is said that that these pods have independent life support, power, shields, and even propulsion depending on the model.
