Ok, @Basil,@MaJunior,@GreyWord,@valdattaMadun,@annex You may all go now. Unless you tell me "I take my turn after x player/character" It will resolve in the order you all post in.

For Isaiah, you are technically not in combat, but you will still take a turn like you are since combat is occuring.

Kadmos, hearing the sounds of battle ahead of him, will move to assist his companions. He is still blindfolded under his helm, but will attack the first enemy he comes to.
OOC:
Not sure if he spends a full turn moving and has to wait to attack, or if he can reach a foe this turn. Rolling in case it's needed.

Rolls

Attack (Crystal Blade) 1 - (1d20+9)

(13) + 9 = 22

Attack (Crystal Blade) 2 - (1d20+9)

(4) + 9 = 13

Attack (Crystal Blade) 3 - (1d20+9)

(20) + 9 = 29

Damage (Slashing, Radiant) 1 - (1d8+1d8+4)

(8) + (3) + 4 = 15

Damage (Slashing, Radiant) 2 - (1d8+1d8+4)

Damage (Slashing, Radiant) 3 - (1d8+1d8+4)

(3) + (1) + 4 = 8

Crit Damage - (1d8+1d8)

(2) + (4) = 6

OOC:
Good! Turn order brings order :). I also assume I don't need to do it in private any more
Isaiah lands turning his Constellations for archer form and follow snakes. Seeing them far enough calls for earth elemental support. Attack snake man, start with this! throw the magical arrow at one of the enemies and takes few steps back into the corner
OOC:

Action: Summon Elemental, LVL 4
BA: Luminous arrow
End turn D55, attacking SM7
Elemental R54, attacking SM7

Rolls

Luminous arrow - Attack - (1d20+10)

(5) + 10 = 15

Luminous arrow - Damage - (2d8+5)

(77) + 5 = 19

Elemental slam - Attack - (1d20+10)

(10) + 10 = 20

Elemental slam - Damage - (1d10+8)

Elemental slam - Attack - (1d20+10)

(19) + 10 = 29

I'm actually not sure Kadmos can do much of anything at the moment. You can't end your turn in an occupied space, and you can't move through an enemy's space. The best Kadmost can do is moving to N42 or O41, above or next to Kelnes. You could use misty step, though, if you take the the dash action to get to T42.

I highly suggest that you all try to decide if you want to try and retreat to a bigger room or not. I am warning you all that if you stay in the hallway the fight will start getting slog-ish.

Chrironides releases the prone snakeman his feet and turns his attention to the mass of snakes and horror. He takes hold of his Multitool +1 and casts Hypnotic Pattern.

SM1,3,5 & W1,2 in area of affect

I see nothing about where you are looking. I need this information every round until those 2 snake women are dead. Chironides can cast the spell at a place he is not looking, since the spell is worded like fireball and it does not include the phrase "that you can see" before "within range". However, without looking, he won't know who failed and who did not, and as the DM I still need to know who has advantage against him and who does not.

If he looks, he knows what happens but I need 2 con saves, one for each woman.
If he does not look, he does not know what happened, does not have to make the saves, and all the enemies have advantage against him as he is functionally blinding himself to avoid being turned to stone.

He turned towards the bulk of the enemies to the East of him.. looking East.

So you are saying you need to make saves? Would you like me to make them? 2 DC 14 con saves

Gotcha, Chironides is an oveconfident one and looks!

(3) + 11 = 14

Constitution save dc 14 - (1d20+11)

(4) + 11 = 15

OOC:
would i need a save from my location? Seems like i am "around the corner" from them?
Jun 27, 2024 6:57 pm
Rolling Saves. To save space, i'm going to subtract their bonus from your DC, so it is purely what they need roll on the d20. In this case, they get a +1, but they have advantage so roll 1 and 2 are part of SM1's roll and they just need to roll a 16.

Results:
- SM1: Success
- SM3: Failure
- SM5: Success
- W1: Failure
- W2: Failure

Note: if the snake women are incapacitated, they their gaze does not work. HOWEVER, if you do not look away, the moment someone shakes them out of the hypnosis you would make the save as they are no longer incapacitated and you are looking at them. As such, if you want you can attack without disadvantage on your turn, but if you don't say "I look away at the end of my turn" I will just roll a save for you when that happens, no questions of if you meant to or not. I only asked Chironides because he was the first, but his example should help you all understand what I mean now.

Rolls

Snake Men (advantage, 1, then 3, then 5) DC 16 - (1d20, 1d20, 1d20, 1d20, 1d20, 1d20)

1d20 : (18) = 18

1d20 : (5) = 5

1d20 : (12) = 12

1d20 : (7) = 7

1d20 : (20) = 20

1d20 : (15) = 15

Snake Women (1 then 2) DC 16 - (1d20, 1d20)

1d20 : (3) = 3

1d20 : (4) = 4

Kelnes cannot see them from his location, but if he was any closer, such as where Omeros is, he could see them.

Chiron warns the others not to attack the ones that are Hypnotized, "Save those for last lest they awaken! Let us dispatch the ones with eyes still wide!"

OOC:
Is it possible to do an action surge after casting a spell?

Basil says:
OOC:

Yes, it simply gives you a 2nd action, but my house rule is that it can't be used for casting a spell. Anything else, attack action or otherwise, is fine.

Chiron drops his shield and multi-tool to free his hands and then goes up the wall and around in between SM1 and SM5. Reaching out he grabs hold of each and drags them back into northern room a ways so they wont be able to disturb the hypnotized snake heads.

Rolls

Athletics Grapple SM1 - (1d20+9)

(1) + 9 = 10

Athletics Grapple SM5 - (1d20+9)

(5) + 9 = 14

Snake men opposed checks

Neither are grappled. Knowing this you can decide to use your movement differently.

Rolls

SM1 DC 10 - (1d20+3)

(19) + 3 = 22

SM5 DC 17 - (1d20+3)

(15) + 3 = 18

Chiron moves directly in front of W1.
Jun 27, 2024 11:12 pm
Ok, that will be 2 opportunity attacks (SM2 and SM4), though with your 25 AC I assume you have no fear. They are both construct attacks, so if you somehow get hit, your speed is reduced to 0 and you don't move after all.

Actually, you put down your shield, and donning a shield takes an action (can't use free interaction), so your AC is 22 (shield was +1 shield, so -3 AC)

Rolls

Worshiper of Hythonia 2 Constrict AC 22 (Prone) - (2d20L1+5, 2d6+3bludgeoning)

2d20L1+5 : (68) + 5 = 11

2d6+3bludgeoning : (16) + 3 = 10

Worshiper of Hythonia 4 Constrict AC 22 - (1d20+5, 2d6+3bludgeoning)

1d20+5 : (1) + 5 = 6

2d6+3bludgeoning : (22) + 3 = 7

Omeros wasn't above striking an enemy when it was down, and he plunged Invictus twice into the prostrate snakeman! Now he had to worry about the other cultists but he hoped his frost field would hold as he moved into their midst!
OOC:
If SM2 is dead after my first attack, I'll move 10 feet right next to SMs 1, 3, and 4, and make my second attack against SM1 (without advantage, naturally). Regardless, I'll still move 10 feet right.
Remember that I have up Armor of Agathys for 25 temp hp to me, and 25 cold damage to the attacker(s) if I'm hit while having this temp hp.
