And now it's my next turn. Lol

How high up is Hythonia? Asking because Kadmos can't fly, but if he can jump as part of his movement he could potentially take an attack action against her.

She is 20 feet off the ground, as she was above Isaiah and her constrict had a 20 foot reach.

I realize i didn't have Hythonia take any legendary actions. I'll have her take all of her legendary actions after Kadmos goes.

OOC:
Can I make an Athletics check as part of my movement to high jump more than the 7 feet I can high jump standard?
Jul 19, 2024 3:56 pm
I will say yes, but the DC for the athletics check will be 20 due to how high above what you normally can jump you are trying, and you'll get 1 attack on a success as you would fall before a 2nd strike could be achieved. If you do happen to get a nat20 on the check, you can make 2 swings before you fall. Since you would fall over 10 feet, you will take 1d6 damage from the fall.

to add some realism, i'll say that you use one of the pillars to "run up" a bit before you kick off it for the attack.

As a quick reminder, Hythonia is bloodied, and thus she is susceptible to spells that could control her. This version i'm testing for legendary resistance does not have charges. she is either above half and immune to below half and vulnerable.

OOC:
I only need to jump like 4 feet higher than normal, thankfully.

I think Booming Blade might be in order, since I can't take a proper attack action.

EDIT: Yeah, that checks out. 🙄

Rolls

Athletics (STR) - (1d20+14)

(7) + 14 = 21

Attack (Crystal Blade) - (1d20+9)

(1) + 9 = 10

Damage (Slashing, Radiant, Thunder) - (1d8+1d8+2d8+1d4+4)

(6) + (5) + (77) + (2) + 4 = 31

You succeed on the jump. You can make an attack, or attempt to grab onto her if you want to grapple.

That's a very unfortunate time for a natural one...

Rolls

Falling Damage - (1d6)

(3) = 3

Hythonia

Hythonia looks at the armored warrior leaps into the air, only for his swing to be slow enough that she easily uses her claws to block the blade before Kadmos falls back to the ground, his leg feeling some of the pain from landing on them.

As Kadmos ends his turn, she uses one of her legendary actions to fly lower and then uses 2 more to attack kadmos and then kelnes with her snakey hair.
OOC:
Summary:
Unless Kadmos has a way to increase his AC to 26, that looks like 45 damage to him.

Kelnes takes 29, reduced to 14 by his rage resistance.

Rolls

Hythonia Snakey Hair vs Kadmos AC 25 (assuming shield spell if 20-24) - (d20+13, 4d12+7bludgeoning)

d20+13 : (12) + 13 = 25

4d12+7bludgeoning : (711812) + 7 = 45

Hythonia Snakey Hair vs Kelnes AC 17 - (d20+13, 4d12+7bludgeoning)

d20+13 : (12) + 13 = 25

4d12+7bludgeoning : (11065) + 7 = 29

Hythonia Snakey Hair vs Kadmos AC 20 (reroll from silvery barbs) - (d20+13+1d4, 4d12+7bludgeoning)

d20+13+1d4 : (6) + (1) + 13 = 20

4d12+7bludgeoning : (10347) + 7 = 31

Hythonia

As she then acts on her turn, she then attempts to constrict Kadmos. She narrowly misses, and decides to use her snakey hair on Kadmos. Her claws cannot reach without getting too close, so she decides not to use them.

Rolls

Hythonia Constrict vs Kadmos AC 25 (assuming shield reaction if 20-24) - (d20+13+1d4, 2d10+7bludgeoning)

d20+13+1d4 : (9) + (2) + 13 = 24

2d10+7bludgeoning : (42) + 7 = 13

Hythonia Snakey Hair vs Kadmos AC 25 - (d20+13+1d4, 4d12+7bludgeoning)

d20+13+1d4 : (19) + (3) + 13 = 35

4d12+7bludgeoning : (812212) + 7 = 41

Let's live a little... casting Silvery Barbs against her snakey hair attack as my reaction. Giving advantage to myself.

Just to confirm, what the silvery barbs on the legendary action? if so, that changes what happens on her turn because you wouldn't have a reaction anymore and thus a 24 would hit.

Yeah but you got way past me so it's fine. Just roll with what you said I did.

Kadmos goes limp.

Rolls

Death Save (DC 10) - (1d20)

(11) = 11

Alright, @GreyWord,@valdattaMadun,@annex you all are up.

Isaiah is dying, but aside from him being seen being thrown into the water no one knows he is dying.

Kelnes is fine, though Hythonia being able to fly is a real problem. She is 10 feet off the ground. Also, he needs to decide if he is averting his gaze.

Omeros is swimming, but no one knows he is ok.

Remember you have healing potions and I'll say you can take them off of each other to give as i'd assume they are on your belts in order to not need an entire action to pull a potion out.

The situation look grib. Omeros is unaware that the others are doing so poorly. Kelnes is down from Hythonia's attacks. Isaiah is drowning. Kadmos went down. Chironides is now the last one standing (since omeros is swimming), though he is not able to act just yet. Will Omeros and Chironides be able to kill her in time? Will Isaiah, Kelnes, or Kadmos be as lucky as Omeros? Will the ranger be of any help?
OOC:
Waiting on Omeros. I am assuming he is taking the dash action and swimming south, but don't want to assume in case you have an idea.
Jul 19, 2024 7:57 pm
Omeros swam due north. He was in no condition to take on the gorgon. He had to gain strength before he joined the fray. He hoped his companions would survive until he could act.
OOC:
Swimming north to R12, putting distance between me and the flying snake lady. Drinking Potion of Greater Healing for 20 HP.

Hythonia

Hythonia uses the end of Isaiah, Kelnes, and Omero's turns to use 2 legendary actions to move 40 feet each time and then make a snakey hair attack against Chironides.
OOC:
Unless Chironides can raise his AC by 3 or more, I think that's a hit for 41 damage.

Rolls

Hythonia Snakey Hair vs Chironides AC 25 - (d20+13+1d4, 4d12+7bludgeoning)

d20+13+1d4 : (11) + (3) + 13 = 27

4d12+7bludgeoning : (1012210) + 7 = 41
