Wfen the bottle floating in front of her Tante Lude see spots a genie waving from within the bottle made of glass and experiencing no runes or other symbols. While bottle is safely sealed with with a cork only Lude hears genie muffled voice calling out in a language she don't understand.
OOC:
I mean it would require a character to be next to the bottle to hear genie from within and only Lude is currently close enough. Perhaps flying money as well, but animal wouldn't understands there is a sapient creature inside a bottle
OOC:
I will need @Psybermagi to clarify Nyx action, questions in private. Let me remind objects in the room are: glass Cauldrons (and bones behind the glass), bronze statues stand on pedestals, chariot with bronze sarcophagus and treasure atop, the shield and some remains 3 zombies.

Psybermagi sent a note to GreyWord
Pausing before releasing the flames into the glass cauldrons to attempt to burn the bones within Nux asks Wait, didn't you say there was some illusary sunlight in one of the other chambers? If it is tied to an item perhaps we can bring it here? Or would anyone here be able to create some?

OOC:
In my books flame don't go through glass.
Also any spell that say "Target: A creature ..." can't do anything to an object.
I believe you will need to break glass first to do anything to the bones.

I assumed the cauldron was open on top, based on the map image, but by you statement now understand it to have a lid or are to hard to get into.

As for targeting, I was using the assumption that any ability with an attack roll can target anything. I understand the spell is not designed to affect objects but fire still burns things was what I was going off of. But if you say no then ok.

OOC:

Oops. You are right actually I red it again and now believe these cauldrons are open on top. You can get oil in there (if anyone has oil on their character) and put oil on fire, but bones are not flammable. According to internet Burning bones requires extremely high temperatures
Please see this for spells VS objects rules

What do you do?

Guys, genie bottle here. Don't know the language but given this place's general character, more likely to attack us than help us. I'll hand on to it in case we need the help in a tight spots unless it is needed to solve a puzzle or save a life.

Burning the bones sounds smart, no oil here though. Perfume probably isn't helpful.

Tante Lude wraps the genie bottle in silk and stores it in her backpack.

I watch Tante Lude carefully, given our experience with the artifacts in this place.

Nothing unexpected happens as Tante Lude does this.
OOC:
as I understand none moved into the hidden room revealed to do any more exploration/investigation.
As for bones, since none seem to have oil (and a few alchemists fire sets are certainly not enough for 6 cauldrons - diameter seems to be 7 feet) I can suggest narrate you cut some roots that were visible in the roof of upper level put them on fire and throw into the cauldrons . With a lot smoke, bad smell and a few hours of time ( perhaps just one hour if your do a good wisdom roll) Bones will be gone. Do you like that? Any better idea?

"I could firebolt the bones, if that would help. Let me know. But first I'm going to look over this room Tante Lude found."

I fly into the hidden alcove, careful not to touch anything accidentally, and investigate the space.

With a wave of his hand Nyx sends his familiar to assist Tinkara with her investigation (help action or perception check)

Looking around Nyx suggests questioningly If the cauldron can be moved, perhaps we can simply take them outside and dump them over the railing?

To test this possibility he moves to one of them and sees if he can tip it at all. Figuring if they can tip them a bit it will be very easy to roll along the base rim vs trying to lift or push them.

"Dumping them over the railing might just mean we deal with them later rather than sooner. We'll hopefully survive to reach the lower levels."
Nov 21, 2024 9:29 am
"We definitely should deal with this bones first." - Zean agrees, happy that his idea about turning over the cauldrons was picked up at least by the rest of the group.

Cauldrons don't move no matter how hard you try. They seems to be build into the floor.

OOC:
Do I find anything in the alcove?
Nov 21, 2024 12:30 pm
OOC:
I will narrate Tinkara's action later today, need more time but could spoil that there will be nothing directly related to cauldrons or bones in them

OOC:
No roll needed here but for future reference: @Psybermagi out of combat familiar don't provide advantage on ability checks unless you can explain how your familiar is actually making the investigation (or any other action) more productive. See details here.
Tinkara manages not to touch any object as she is flying, but catch most of the cobwebs with her wings and rise the dust from the table and floor. Sneezing she realize what's probably obvious to everyone by this moment: the whole dungeon you have been walking through is considerably tidy and kept. Not clean, but maintained. You can even recall roots in upper level of the dungeon freshly cut.
But here is this alcove - for whatever reason - none has been visiting it for years, maybe decades.
Nov 21, 2024 5:35 pm
"It's dusty and unkept in here! Very different from the rest of this place!"

Do I see anything aside from dust and cobwebs in here? I will look everywhere, and alight if I need to in order to check the nooks and crannies.

Table is the only object you can SEE in alcove.
OOC:
If believe there must be something hidden int here to discover you could always follow my homebrew rule
[ +- ] How it works
Note that your PC need to be with 5 feet of the place you pick. You can't roll perception on a wall 100 or even 10 feet away from you if you can't reach it.
Nov 23, 2024 8:06 am
OOC:
@thorsman99 Please give me a Perception check with disadvantage (due to dust raised by her wings) for Tinkara
Everyone else: what do you do while Tinkara is searching the alcove?
Nov 23, 2024 11:53 am
Perception. I don't remember how to do disadvantage, sorry.

Rolls

Perception - (1D20)

(7) = 7

Perception - (1d20)

(10) = 10
