Chapter 1: Seeds of Destruction
You head down a set of stairs into what appears to be the cargo hold. This cargo hold looks and smells like a slaughterhouse. Bodies lie strewn about the deck, and the floor is stained with blood. Most of the bodies appear to be human, but one is an arachnid form with an eel-like neck and head that lies as motionless as the others. At least one thing is clearly true: a neogi was here.
"We're almost there!" he says, leading you up one flight of stairs and then another, out onto the bridge. The nautiloid's bridge has a high ceiling. Stairs ascend to a forward observation deck, and toward the stern a ladder climbs to the top of a balcony.
"We're here!" Benoto calls as you all step out onto the bridge, but he's clearly not speaking to you. From beneath the stairs to the observervation deck, three strange creatures emerge: seven foot long worms with six hoofed legs and arms that end in three-fingered hands. They wear richly colored robes and have round mouths lined with pointy teeth. They do not appear to have eyes, but they're staring directly at youright at you.
Benoto smiles, "Dinner is served!"
Benoto is about 5-10 feet in front of you and these odd creatures are about 10 feet beyond him (20 ft from you)

Benoto turns around holds his hand out palm up toward Imti and then makes a fist. She suddenly feels an ache in her skull that begins to increase rapidly in pressure.
Imti: DC 13 Wisdom save. 10 psychic damage (half on success)
The others move forward to engage in melee, trying to overwhelm you, teeth snapping and clawed fingers slashing. Several of the attacks land, cutting flesh easily, but This One's tougher body repels the attacks made upon him.
Quaxiver: 20 and 20 vs AC. Damage: 3 and 5 slashing (total 8)
Ziggy: 15 vs AC. Damage: 6 piercing

Until the spell ends, the creature can use an action to exhale energy of the chosen type in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 damage of the chosen type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.

The druid thinks of throwing something at Benoto in petulance, but realizes she has a much better option and launches a glittering star at him. Imti follows up her spell by summoning the constellation of an archer across her body, firing a glowing arrow at the same boy.
Action: Cast Guiding Bolt at Benoto
Bonus Action: Wild Shape, form of Archer! And firing an arrow.
EDIT: Imti takes 5 psychic damage, temp HP gone.

Imti can only move about ten feet away, but it's enough to get a shot off safely. Her luminous spell goes wide of the target as she feels the crushing pain in her head, but her follow-up arrow hits home, sparkling with starlight as it buries itself into the boys' thigh.
Ziggy's magical energy washes over the strange (sexy?) creatures that are attacking you. Two of them are unaffected, but the one attacking Quaxiver and Benoto are both affected.
Quaxiver's blade lights up with fire as he slashes at the psurlon facing him down. His blade cuts into it, immediately cauterizing the would painfully as flames leap to another of the foul beasts.
Despite the gains you've made in this battle so far, the psurlons continue their assault.
Enraged at This One's attack, the one facing off against him goes into a frenzy, teeth and claws scraping his metal skin with horrible screeching sounds.
This One: 23, 20, CRIT vs AC. Damage: 7 piercing, 6 slashing, 7 slashing (Total: 20)
Quaxiver also struggles as his foe as it bites and claws him, screaming all the while.
Imti: CRIT and CRIT vs AC. Damage: 11 piercing, 6 slashing (Total: 17)
Ziggy fares much better, dodging the bite and a claw, but taking a nasty scratch from the final attack.
Ziggy: 23 vs AC. Damage: 4 slashing
Benoto, unwilling to try to squeeze past all those engaged in melee combat, continues his assault on Imti's mind.
Imti: DC 13 Wisdom save. 20 psychic damage (half on success)

Quaxiver hastily threw up a magical barrier to absorb the brunt of it.
He replied with his own attack, aiming at the same one directly in front of him, and letting the verdant flame continue to burn the next nearest, but was too distracted to be successful.

Ziggy travels like starlight away from the melee against the decidedly unsexy creatures.
Starlight Step as Bonus Action
"Try this on for size!" she says, swinging her club against the air, simulating the strike upon a bell. A somber ringing surrounds Benoto, echoing as though inside an lonely belfry.

Quaxiver is so overwhelmed by the attacks against him that his defensive swing is off target and hits nothing but air!
Ziggy's magic turns the creature's attack to the side and it instead digs its claws into the floor of the nautiloid instead of his flesh as Ziggy disappears and reappears on the other side of the room, far from his attacker.
Imti's astral arrow hits its foe again, staggering him backward just as a bell rings and he collapses to his knees with a groan and then collapses face first onto the floor of the bridge.
The psurlons, not finished yet, continue their attacks, the one originally facing Ziggy charging for Imti instead.
This One continues to be hounded by the creature, its claws scraping violently against his metal skin and tearing chunks out of him.
This One: 18 and 17 vs AC. Damage: 4 and 3 slashing (7 total)
Quaxiver fares better this time, but still takes a minor hit on his arm.
CRIT vs AC. Damage: 6 slashing
Imti ducks, dodge, dives, and ducks out of the way of all the attacks against her, winding up completely unharmed.
