As soon as there's light, Grim exclaims "Appreciate it!" and rushes in to join the dwarf. He takes a swing at the one Wess attacked.
OOC:
Whoops, that's bypasses armor, so extra d6 to damage. Maul is AP 2

Khel couldn't see a thing, but the light provided by Saldrina's spell and Chigaru's sunrod made the creatures visible. He pointed his staff at one of the creatures and shot a flaming bolt at it.

Wess rushes inside, and slashes at one of the creatures, but they are well versed in combat, and is able to parry his blow.

Saldrina lights up the cave with magical lightning, and with Chiagru pulling out a sunrod, you have a great view of the creatures’ ugliness.

Grimwulf rushes inside, and next to Wess is able to cut down the creature.

Then Khel sneaks in behind them and sends one bolt at another creature and kills it.
OOC:
AP actually goes towards getting through Toughness and not Parry so it is still a normal hit. And that is enough to take it down (actually thanks to the Armor Piercing).

Two of the creatures are dead and Li is up. The green creature is 8 inches away.

Li rushes forward and tosses a shuriken at the closest creature. Though he hits, the sharp weapon bounces off the creature's tough hide.

Then the remaining creatures react. The first one rushes forward and slices twice at Wess. Though the dwarf parries easily.

The last creature rushes at Grimwulf and strikes twice. He parries the first strike, but the second gets through Grimwulf’s defenses, shaking the halfling.

Shalelu rushes forward, having to run to get them within sight of her bow. She lets loose with an arrow, but it misses and bounces off the rocky wall behind them.

The creatures are quick to react again. And they both lets loose with new swings at their targets.

The more powerful of the two, finally find an opening in Wess’ defenses and the ranseur connects hard.

The second creature can’t keep up the pressure and Grimwulf is able to keep it at bay before it hurts him worse.
OOC:
Grimwulf is shaken and Wess takes 1 wound (which can be soaked). This cost me a few bennies, almost all their attacks missed on the first attempt. You are all up again.

Wess, finally happen to be in the thick of the fight, does his best to shake off the creatures attack. Then returns with an attack of his own. Swinging Dawn's Light at his foe.

That's a failure on the soa roll, so you're at 1 wound and Shaken. You also need to roll a Spirit check TN4 to act.

Nerves of Steel only negates the -1 from Wounds. Shaken is an effect that comes as long as you are "damaged". But the rerolled vigor is an astounding success, so your action stands :)

Chigaru skirts the northern wall of the cavern and stands next to Wess. With the sunrod in one hand, it was time to show everyone a monk was dangerous with every part of their body and Chigaru lets his big feet do some talking.

Saldrina frowns and conjures a good-sized rock, which she hurls at green.

Wess grits his way through the pain, and comes back stronger. His axe makes a gash in the creature ahead of him.

Then next to him Grimwulf’s maul connects with the other creature, making a soft splat sound as it caves in its skull.

The final creature do not have time to recover from Wess’ attack as a rock hurls into it with the force of Saldrina’s magic behind it. It slumps to the ground, unmoving.

The encounter is over. With lightning, this is what you can see from the hallway.

Khel looked ahead and spotted the long tunnel. "It seems like a long way to go. What are these creatures doing here in the first place? Let's move ahead and check the other ways. Who knows what else is hiding here?"
