Against the Cult: Entering Orlane (1.7)

"I don't think either of you should stay," Myrtha responded, her face set for the grizzly task ahead. "They've already taken Joseph. Who's going to save him?" she added, her voice barely hiding the strong emotion her comrades' capture elicited in her. "But at least we have to get this body out of here. There won't be any talking your way out of a tortured corpse. I think you should follow us, but if we don't leave now, we'll be encircled. We're headed for the inn, see you there if you can. And if you can't, we'll try to find you." With that, a concerned gaze at Aanbo and Chase, and a nervousness her companions had not yet seen her display, she turned to Reptile, handing him his shield with a word of thanks, and then hoisted the bandaged body with his help, before setting off at a trot in the opposite direction from where the villagers were coming.

Since she has hers now, he accepts the shield back. Otherwise, he would not have accepted it returned.

He does silently agree with Myrtha and will haul the body away. He still intends to place it behind the Inn.

Theran shakes his head as Aanbo and the newcomer -- well, just one of them really -- Chase stayed, and then ran off after Reptile and Myrtha.

Chase looks to Aanbo "You and me boss."

Aanbo sighs, resigning himself to fate. "I hope you're prepared. We'll be digging through lies and treachery, with just the pale flame of truth to guide our way. If anything, we'll try to buy our friends some time before the tunnels collapse upon us. If you're ready?"

With that, Aanbo lights a torch, and waves it as a signal to the incoming villagers. "Hey! Over here!"
