OOC:
do we want to roll for the first pilots? They work for any class but i will say their code names lean into the style they are

"We should all take turns piloting, so that we are all familiar with how they operate and we aren't relying on just two -- or even just four -- of us," Reg posits aloud.
OOC:
Rolling works. Reginald will want everyone (PCs) to pilot each machine, for familiarization.

Small (3' and precious 3") quiet Marceen, "That is an excellent notion. We should do that. At least get a feel for which we really like too." Her brown eyes show her halfling excitement. Despite her minutiae size she is extremely physical.

OOC:
How about I roll for each person, a D100. highest rolls get "dibs"

each Automidon can have 2 pilots, so by the end everyone has a chance to pilot if you want

edit: gets dibs Dorash, Breg,

Reginald, Chakan if any of those two decide to skip the first one

Rolls

Marceen - (1d100)

(49) = 49

Dorash - (1d100)

(91) = 91

Reginald - (1d100)

(78) = 78

Breg - (1d100)

(94) = 94

Umr - (1d100)

(24) = 24

Chakan - (1d100)

(77) = 77

Breg steps into the constructed gadget and takes quality time familiarizing himself with top-gun madness.
So, how does all this work exactly, he asks the party’s crystal-bound benefactor.
Aug 8, 2024 5:09 pm
Dorash gets inside quickly after. He looks around, assuming there is some kind of magic to control something so big. If the woman explains how to operate it, he does exactly as she says, but he snips if she says anything like, "No no, you're doing it wrong", as he interprets that as looking down on him.

"I'm happy to sit back and watch, but could we rest for an hour or so? I foolishly did not purchase potions at our last stop."

Chakan grins and puts a hand behind his head, a black eye and some bruises slowly starting to form on his face.

Amora Rei's voice echoes in the head of Dorash and Breg. First tap your finger on the needle there and take a dab of your blood and touch the crystal. This should sync your body to Myrmidon. And from there, just follow your instincts.
OOC:
Any rests can easily be taken hear if needed, For those who don't need to rest. Amora tells you all that signs of the other Automnidons should be able to be found in the immdiate area. Doing Perception and/or Survival checks to track down the Automidons can be made at this time.

Survival check is 16. :)

Rolls

Survival Check - (1d20+8)

(8) + 8 = 16

Aug 8, 2024 6:30 pm
Dorash does as he was instructed.
OOC:
Does this cost 1 hp or something like that?
Aug 8, 2024 7:00 pm
OOC:
nope no HP cost, basically a pin prick. Wouldn't cause anything more than such. More flavor :)

Distracted little Marceen keeps her mind off the new possible experiences and takes her efforts to tracking which she is rather good at. Marceen is rather at home in the wilds. Obviously, she does well as she is a touch on the chubby side. Kinda typical for Halflings who love eating and food.

Unlike many Halflings, she doesn't favor bright clothing and such but as many, you don't see her displaying any real wealth either. She favors greens and more the colors of the wild. You suspect that she isn't your common everyday Halfling. Although she seems to have many qualities that seems to say Halfling besides her size. She is rather happy about those extra 3" that she has in height.

Despite her shorter legs, energetic her keeps up just fine with the entire party and in fact she is required to slow some to avoid outdistancing everyone. Hard to decide where she hides all that energy at.

She does take a moment summon up some aid and checks the upcoming weather. (casts druidcraft). Obviously shorter Marceen can cast some magic. Appears to be rather druidish.

Chakan sits and meditates well out of the way of the automidon as Breg and Dorash learn how to pilot it. He sees Marceen already start to search the area for tracks to the next construct.

Rolls

Heal - (1d8+2)

(6) + 2 = 8

Aug 9, 2024 9:21 pm
Our green cloaked ranger winces, as he pricks his finger upon the needle.
Well, here goes nothing.
Then, touching the crystal, he gazes hazel eyes upon the control panel, and allows instinct to take over.

Marceen in her survival check can pinpoint a fairly clear trail that leads deeper into the forest that looks to be a good spot to look. Her druidcraft reveals sunny skies ahead
Aug 10, 2024 2:49 pm
Reg will begin looking around the area for signs of other constructs.

Rolls

Perception (WIS) - (1d20+3)

(9) + 3 = 12

Aug 10, 2024 4:43 pm
Dorash feels weird being connected to the machine. He is visibly uncomfortable, but powers through it. It seems he is also uncomfortable since he is connected to it while someone is also connected to it. "Should we... Practice moving around?"

Feeling better in mind and body, Chakan gets ready to follow Marceen and Reg before he is distracted by the insectoid head that was on the construct. He goes to take a quick look at it to see if there are any clues about who they will be fighting.
OOC:
Made a couple of rolls if needed.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+2)

(14) + 2 = 16

Nature - (1d20+0)

(1) = 1

Aug 11, 2024 8:20 pm
The direction of the next automidon is fairly clear but the final one isn't really visible at this time. The path appears to go deeper into the forest and some signs appear to indicate it is heading into old growth areas.

Chakan doesn't recognize the creature at all...could basically be an alien to him
Aug 11, 2024 8:28 pm
If there is no objection, Breg steers the party’s automidon towards the forest.
