sorry could you just remind me of the cronology for a second here, have the Sin'doreu started feeding of fell, I can't remember if we have. If not is there any visual difference between a blood and a high elf? Sorry if I'm just having a brain melt moment here...

OOC:
That's quite alright. Kael'Thas has left to find a cure and a way to sate their hunger for magic. He sent Rommath back to teach the Blood Elves how to drain mana. So far, this has only been done on mana crystals and mana-bearing creatures. So, no fel energy as far as Meridia knows.

OOC:
Ok, so my perception of what my character looks like just completely changed. I'll need a new icon...
Hmm too much magic... Do you think this makes me immune to wretching? Regardless I've lets talk research then. You say your interested in religions of different cultures? I spent some time studying how the trolls unifified light and shadow magic into one surprisingly seemless faith form, and I believe our friend her is a practical expert in th field. Now I've always thought that this unification came about because of...

Meridian going to launch into a full blown arcademic speal unless some one wants to interject.

OOC:
Oops. Sorry if I screwed that all up for you. Guess I should have been a bit more clear about things earlier.

OOC:
i should have realised as you said we were only recently branded Blood elves and weren't in the horde yet...

OOC:
Oh that's right. lt's bad when even I don't remember what I said. I suppose I should say that the Blood Elves are just now entering into diplomatic negotiations about joining the Horde. Sylvanas herself has been the main supporter and the one who invited the Blood Elves to join the Horde.
How exactly does that change things? I'm sure there won't be a problem with a little retcon.
"I can't say anything for certain," Thalnazz replied,"With this sort of magical taint, you may be even more susceptible to succumbing. As long as you stay vigilant in resisting the effects of withdrawal, I'd say you stand a good chance at preventing 'wretching'."
Meridia's comment on troll religion has Thalnazz fully intrigued. "Really now?" He looks over to the only troll present. "Is that right - Mul'Zeb was it? I'd be most interested in hearing more about this. From what I've learned, there seems to be a connection of sorts between the Ancients revered by the Night Elves and the Loa spirits of your culture."
OOC:
Just realized full introductions weren't made. I'm gonna say that was done on your journey through the forest. Now he knows your names, but not your stories. Okay?

Allyk's eyes go out of focus as the talk of magic washes over him, far beyond his interest or his understand. Instead he turns to the stool shrunken by the gnomes ray and prods it with the toe of his boot. When it neither explodes or dissapates, he pulls out paper and a pen and begins making notes

Mul'Zeb, busying himself with observing the decor of the room while his companions speak, perks up at the change in topic. He shuffles over to Meridia and Thalnazz, eager to share some knowledge. His hand comes up to grasp his totem. "Aye? I not be knowin' much of da Night Elves meself, but da spirits and deir mojo be all around." He looks around the room again, a new appreciation for the different surroundings apparent in his eyes. "Balance be key, although not all da spirits be cravin' balance of da light and dark." He unconsiously glances over to Gazam for a brief second. He turns back, and looking at Thalnazz, "I be curious about dese Ancients of the Night Elves...?" During the conversation, he happily adds tidbits of information about specific Loa of his tribe as their names or domains are brought up.
Oct 11, 2016 4:08 pm
The religious discussion goes on for some time, with a few commonalities discovered such as both Ancients and Loa being gods of the natural world and usually taking form of enormous animals. It's during this conversation that Dormir and Wembil emerge from the side room.
"I don't know what to say. I don't know of the device you speak of. It could take weeks to design and years to build. Or, I suppose a day to design and weeks to build?" Wembil gets frustrated and shakes his fists beside his head. "I don't know! This isn't what I've trained for!"
Thalnazz stops mid word at the gnome's outburst, glancing between Dormir and Wembil. "Is ... everything alright, you two?"
Oct 12, 2016 3:19 pm
Putting himself between Wembil and Thalnazz, Dormir's voice drops to a whisper.
OOC:
Listen check from any nearby characters?
After what appears to be a moment of reassurance between Dormir and Wembil, Dormir nods at Thalnazz and speaks, "Aye, me friend 'ere just had a moment o' clarity..." He let's the words hang in the air just long enough for it to sink in, see the gears turn, and see a mouth to hang agape in preparation for a retort, then finishes, "He noticed 'is hand don't have any ale in it!" Dormir gives a hearty laugh, a pat on Thalnazz's back/shoulder (whatever is in reach for the dwarf), and a wink. Directing his attention to Wembil, "Might ye lead me t' the tavern ye mentioned before? The ale's on me tonight!"

"Tavern?" The gnome looks thoroughly confused. "Oh! Yes. Yes, of course." Wembil readily agrees to a drink. He seems a bit overwhelmed after his conversation with Dormir.

If anyone wants to try overhearing, make a Perception check.

It amuses me that as the Perception bonuses on our rolls got lower, our results got higher. On phone and not sure if editing a post changes the die roll or not, so sorry for the pointless post.
Oct 13, 2016 1:01 am
OOC:
Ha! No, editing a post does not affect die rolls. In fact, once you've posted, you can't affect a die roll at all.

Mul'Zeb overhears what is whispered between Dormir and Wembil. I've sent a PM.
Before the dwarf and gnome go off for a drink, Thalnazz excitedly declares, "Web- er, Welm- no. Taskwidget! We are to have guests! Let us all go to the inn and get settled for the night. Tomorrow looks to be full of excitement."
Thalnazz looks expectantly to everyone, hoping for general agreement.
OOC:
I've also sent a PM to Allyk.

Turns out it is super easy to log yourself out trying to read messages because the buttons are so small and fingers are so big. Did it twice in a row
