Wouldn't say I'm following you for no reason, just nice for whoever attacks us to have another target is all. he rolls his cigarette to the other side of his mouth where it falls into the gap left by a missing tooth before looking at the dwarf. Y'can call me Allyk, though I s'pose 'Dead One' ain't a bad bone de guerre either. And while I 'ppreciate the drink, I lost the taste for it since it seems to run through me. he pauses looking at his companions Lit'rally, I ruined more than one pair of boots before I realized it

Meridian becomes fixated on the object as she considers it, completely ignoring Allyk. Hmm this is very interesting indeed. A source of fell with some kind binding spell which is rapidly fading...

OOC:
Clarification: the dampening spell on the gem is fading, meaning that it will be back to normal soon.
Nov 9, 2016 9:10 pm
OOC:
Thats kind of what I took from that. Though I don't think the clarification changes my IC statement.
Nov 9, 2016 9:29 pm
OOC:
Just making sure. The wording had me a little confused. Doing anything about it?
Nov 9, 2016 9:33 pm
Always a curious one, Meridia starts picking apart the dampening spell.
Nov 9, 2016 9:54 pm
Always a curious one, Mul'Zeb watches intently to the elf and gem, taking small sips from his drink from time to time. His other hand unconsciously fiddles with his totem.

"Ye'shud know tha' th' gem'll be screamin' at us when th' spell wears off... th' BLASTED gem screams in me head sometimes. Ye bett'r strap in, lads!" With that, Dormir hoists a flagon of ale in the air and gulps down the tasty beverage with vigor.
Nov 10, 2016 7:24 am
Screaming! How fascinating! Meridia is now actively trying to remove the ward.
Nov 10, 2016 9:51 am
It only takes Meridia a brief moment to remove the dampening spell from the gem.The fel flicker inside pulses with a sickly green light the instant the spell is gone.

*~POWER~*

The feeling reverberates through Meridia. A call to power so rich and sweet she hadn't felt since the days of the Sunwell.
OOC:
Meridia, please make a Wisdom save.
Nov 10, 2016 10:31 am
Ache fills her as she holds on with all her might to not embrase.
OOC:
if it makes a difference that should actually be a 12, then again I kinda want to fail this.

Rolls

Wisdom Save - (1d20+2)

(8) + 2 = 10

OOC:
Oh that's alright. You failed even with a 12. Though I suppose if you ever want to fail a roll, you can just say so and we can roll with it. :)
Meridia: Your ache swells as the promises of power echo through your mind. The urging is too strong. You give yourself over, more than ready for the suffering to end.
OOC:
Gain one additional point of mana. This is temporary and will not come back once used. Also, take one point of arcane corruption. Should have total of 2 now. Might want to keep track of that on your character sheet notes.
You sense a connection forged between you and the gem, and there are faint whispers of more power to come should you prove worthy.

Gazam watches the elf interact with the gem. "Ahh, drink deep, lady. Feel the Fel powers rose within you. None can withstand you."

He laughs, long and deeply.
Nov 12, 2016 1:07 am
OOC:
Gazam you are not helping! Oh wait, she wanted this. CARRY ON.
Nov 12, 2016 1:46 am
OOC:
point of clarification I the player kinda wanted it to happen, the character very much didn't...
Meridia wretches instinctively, and when she has sufficient control over her body tosses the stone onto the table. Fel green burning from her eyes where there was once pale blue.

She starts rubbing her hands together I have all the power I need, Orc, without having to bind myself to the Fel.
Nov 12, 2016 1:54 am
OOC:
Oh yeah I get that. Meridia was trying to resist, as most anyone would, but some magics are just a tad too strong to overcome. Also, nothing has changed about her except for what I've already said. You've not enrolled with warlocks or anything.

Dormir's mouth hand agape as he back peddles, stumbles, and lands on the floor. "On me gran'father's beard!! What've ye done, elf?!"
Nov 12, 2016 5:44 pm
The gem clinks harmlessly onto the table, the green flicker at its center small once more.
Nov 12, 2016 10:59 pm
Dormir scrambles to stand and grabs at the gem. He coddles it as if trying to protect it from Meridia. He tries to lock eyes with Meridia through his drunken stupor, squinting to concentrate on not letting his eyes wander. "Th' blasted gem was protected, elf! Why d'ye do tha' for?! D'ye know what ye've done?"
Nov 12, 2016 11:25 pm
Still clearly unnerved Well what ever shield was on it was on its way out, I just hurried it along a little...
