Wembil perks up at the dwarf's introduction, ready to slide his own into the flow. "Wembil Taskwidget, at your service. A member in good standing of the Mechanical Engineering Guild, Associated." He beams with pride as he nudges Allyk. The undead man seems to be trying his best to be unnoticed, but eventually relents at Wembil's insistence. He half-mumbles his name "Allyk".
Thalnazz takes his turn, "I am Thalnazz Whitesong, priest of the Holy Light. It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Proudmoore. I had passed through here once before on my journey to Ashenvale. I wonder if my colleague, Allen Bright, is still living in your fair city? Oh, yes, and this is..."
Thalnazz stops for Meridia's introduction, and Mul'Zeb goes after her.
"My, what a diverse group you are." Jaina seems to be more at ease as she slips into the role of the diplomat and things are going more by protocol. "To answer your question, Thalnazz, yes I do believe Allen is at the church."
Throughout the series of introductions, Dormir feels the growing pulses of his gem's influence. Dark whisperings too subtle to properly hear filter into his mind, distracting him.
Seeing Dormir as the leader of the motley crew, Jaina addresses him directly. "Is there any more business that brings you here?"
May 11, 2017 8:45 pm
While the group goes through its introductions, a blank stare creeps over Dormir's face, sublte but noticeable. His eyes squint ever so slightly as he tries to make out any of the gem's callings. One hand slowly reaches up to feel for and dampen any vibrations coming forth from it the gem so carefully placed within the clothing beneath his armor. He notices the speaking at the table has finished. His eyes blink once, breaking him of his momentary trance. Dormir's eyes catch Jaina's, staring directly at him. He notices the twitch of her eyebrow as she waits for a response. Dormir tries to recall what was said, but his only clue is the terminal elevation of vocal intonation--a question. He stumbles on some words. What does one say in such a situation? Maybe she offered some assistance or further hospitalities, ones that are surely unnecessary. "Aye... ye needn't worry on that."
May 11, 2017 11:35 pm
Jaina tilts her head ever so slightly to the side at Dormir's response. "Oh." She takes a sharp intake of breath, "I only thought that perhaps I could be of assistance. Surely, you didn't all come here to see a priest?" Jaina looks to everyone expectantly.

Meridia, hearing Dormir's distant voice pipes up Dormir is your heart giving you trouble and screaming? Do you need me to do the healing ritual?
May 20, 2017 2:34 pm
Turning a half-blank stare to Meridia, Dormir slowly shakes his head, a thought coming to fruition in his self-proclaimed clever dwarf head. "Nay... nay... " Dormir turns to Jaina, reaching into his pocket where the gem resides, pulsing with its energies, trying desperately to be heard. He produces the gem, holding it in his palm for all to see. "I found th' gem in me mining, and it's ne'er stopped callin' out t' me. Do ye hear it callin'?"
May 23, 2017 2:56 pm
As Dormir produces the gem from his pocket, it goes completely silent. Jaina leans forward with intense curiosity while the night elf puts a hand on her sword hilt. "It certainly is a beautiful gemstone, but I'm afraid I cannot hear anything." Jaina says after a moment of nothing happening, leaning back in her seat. "Pained." Jaina addresses the night elf. "I think you can stand at ease now."
Jaina gives Dormir a polite - but slightly worried - smile. "If there are any matters that I am required for, I will be happy to assist all of you." With that, she stands to leave. If no one stops her ... She will excuse herself and exit the hall through a door behind Pained. Pained will stay. To keep you company of course.
May 23, 2017 3:31 pm
Dormir's palm remains stretched out, the gem now lying dormant. His eye brows raise, expecting the gem to come back to life. His eyes dart between the others at the table, and finally to meet the gaze from Pained. The night elf's facial expression needed no explanation; the pitiful dwarf, now the elephant in the room, tucks the gem back into his pocket close to his chest.

After a suitably long awkward pause, Meridia turns to Thalnazz, So are should we head straight to the church or should we seek out some lodgings.
May 31, 2017 12:15 pm
Gazam eyes the gem with naked envy and lust. He sighs when the Fel light is gone. "A church? Those exist? I thought they were a joke."
Jun 2, 2017 3:43 pm
After Jaina ascends the stairs, Thalnazz is startled from his thoughts as he stared at Dormir's strangely quiet gem. "Oh, yes. Yes, the church. We... we should go." Thalnazz stands and bows to Pained before walking out of the tower and making his way to the church.
Along the north wall of the city sits a modest, but still dignified church of the Light. Though you receive a few curious looks, Thalnazz leads you reverently into the church. There is a sense of calm inside the church. The afternoon sun filters through stained glass windows and candelabras sit on the outter edge of the few rows of pews. Sitting in the front row is the only person in the church - a dark haired man barely reaching middle age in ritual vestments. "You're late for worship." Apparently he's heard you enter. "But if there's somethi-" He lifts his head and turns to you. Startled by the sight of you all, he seems speechless.
Thalnazz smiles and tries to put the man at ease. "Brother Allen. It is good to see you again. Uh, please don't be alarmed. These are my colleagues." Thalnazz introduces everyone, only giving names. "We've come in search of some aid. In order to help Meridia here, we need one of the holy relics."
Predictably, Allen is skeptical and seems to be searching for his words.

His hand stroking his totem repeatedly, Mul'Zeb whispers a short reverence to the local spirits. He looks around the church and wonders how the spirits tolerate being locked in such a confining place. He keeps his thoughts mostly to himself, only muttering a few words under his breath, "...should have freedom... locked in a temple... need space... " and so on, but being sure to keep a friendly appearance.
Jun 14, 2017 1:20 pm
Thalnazz locks eyes with Brother Allen, and the human seems to visibly relax and smile at the high elf. "You have been one of the most devout and faithful clergy I have ever known - despite the tragedy of your homeland - and because of you I have learned that we are all children of the Light." He gives Mul'Zeb an uncomfortable glance. "I trust you, and I will push these doubts from my mind." With that, the man holds up a finger, telling you to wait for a moment as he goes into a back room.
After a brief few moments, he reverently carries a holy symbol with a faint golden glow. Thalnazz smiles warmly as Allen ceremoniously hands the relic over to the elf. "To ask for such a thing, you must have quite the task ahead of you. Go. Light be with you." The two priests share a moment, Thalnazz even reaching out to grasp the man's shoulder in thanks.
Holding the relic protectively, Thalnazz leads everyone out of the church into the city street. You notice a few city guards shuffle around, none looking directly at you, but none with their back to you. "Well, Meridia and I have some work to do, but I don't believe our time here is quite done. There is the matter of the mage. Gazam? You were quiet in Miss Proudmoore's tower. What do you plan now?"
Jun 15, 2017 12:23 am
Gazam stares at Thalnazz. His tusks churn slightly, in an orcish version of grinding your teeth. His eyes narrow and he focusses in the distance. "Not know. Not know why came here." He shrugs and looks at the mumbling Mul'Zeb. "Mul'zeb. Why we come here? Did your Loas lead us?"
Jun 25, 2017 9:18 pm
"Oh, well besides the relic for Meridia, I thought that this was a good enough place as any to look for that mage that teleported away in Ashenvale. I mean, this is the center of the Alliance on Kalimdor."
Jun 25, 2017 10:15 pm
Gazam nods. "My plan is to tear her head from her body, pull her spine out, and then fashion a necklace with it. Surely you didn't invite me here with that in mind." He grinds his tusks again. "That would be poor repayment for the hospitality shown."

He chuckles darkly. "You are right, though. I should at least look for her." Gazam wanders off, looking for wizardly looking folk to ... question.
Jun 25, 2017 11:06 pm
"Aye, ye do deserve yer due revenge, an' me clan's way has always been an eye fer an eye..." Dormir looks up at Gazam from under his brow. "Ye think th' wizard might have a whole village t' teach a lesson?"

*Deletes double post*
Gazam wanders off looking for someone to question while Thalnazz and Meridia begin discussing what to do next with the relic. Wembil begins pestering Allyk again while Mul'Zeb and Dormir...

Ally's looks around desperate for someone or something to distract the gnome so he can make an escape. Seeing none, he resigns himself to trying to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Once again finding his unending stamina to be a curse, not even the release of unconsciousness to rescue him
Jul 7, 2017 10:48 pm
The gnome takes Allyk's curt responses as a desire to have more time to consider his decisions. "Right you are, pal. I'll give you some time to think."
Jul 10, 2017 11:04 am
Thalnazz discusses with Meridia, "If we're going to make a 'holy moonwell' we need to know how they are made. Are you familiar with that process?"
The people Gazam comes near are visibly uncomfortable while Dormir is almost ignored, seemingly accepted as one of their own.
