"Perhaps you are correct." Thalnazz looks around to everyone. "Shall we all go or just Meridia and myself?"

"What d'ye plan on gettin' from Lady Proudmoore...?"

Perception vs. Meridia's mention of Lady Proudmoore - (1d20+4)

(20) + 4 = 24

Unsure of what exactly Meridia means by needing something from Lady Proudmoore, Dormir believes the blood elf means no harm to the ruler of Theramore.
OOC:
Right? Please don't tell me you're gonna try to Mana Tap Jaina.

Thalnazz stops in his tracks as an idea clearly comes to him. "That's it! Moonwells are based in arcane magic with holy magic manipulating the energies. What if our uh, lightwell? What if it is instead based in holy magic-" He holds up the glowing holy symbol, gesturing to it excitedly, "With arcane magic directing the energies?" The priest stares at Meridia, waiting to see if his theory spreads.
Jul 25, 2017 9:22 pm
Meridia responds to Dormir Well she probably has some kind of relic we can use. When Thalnazz shares his idea Meridia picks up his excitement. ... Yes. That will work! It will be simple containment. Tapping from it is pretty straight forward, we just need... She sketched a design for the lightwell in the dust.
Jul 26, 2017 3:41 am
Mul'Zeb idly stands by listening to the elves plan and theorize, picking at the meat stuck in his teeth with his hand axe. At Thalnazz's new suggestion, he puts the axe away and shifts a bit closer to the two. "Our gods not be called da same names, but dey all be da spirits of da world. If I can help ya wit dis well..." Mul'Zeb holds his totem up, stretched on the cord around his neck. "I not be specializin' in da healin' magics, so maybe my voodoo not be needed."
Jul 26, 2017 1:24 pm
Thalnazz looks over the design, nodding in approval. "Yes, I think we have this figured out."
He then responds to Mul'Zeb. "I would be honored to have your assistance."
OOC:
I'm not a fan of the crafting rules in D&D, so there's no need for all that junk. This is a world of magic. Creating this is gonna be like a long ritual. Meridia, when it's time, tell us what happens, what you and anyone else involved do (Thalnazz, Mul'Zeb, Jaina?), what it looks like, etc.
Jul 27, 2017 2:00 am
The first step is to secure a suitable vessel, Meridia scorers the market place in search of an appropriate vessel, settling on a large plain parabolic incense bowl made from a stable alloy. Sketching a geometric design to be inscribed on the outside of the bowl she will request that either Wembil or Allyk carve the precise pattern into the bowl. She then procures some holy water to physically fill the well, seeing purity of the spring to begin with of vital importance to her design. After some scouting a suitable intersection of ley lines is located just outside the city, here Meridia claims she will be able to sustain an even enough flow of power to funnel the energy provided by Thalnazz. Meridia then asks Mul'Zeb for his expertise, In her mind the ritual will work best if the holy energies of the area is dominated by the light, with little to no shadow present. As an expert in voodoo loa, she asked if he can ward a region from their presence for the duration of the ritual. Anyone else who joins them at the site is asked to keep watch over the ritual to prevent their concentration from being broken, but is asked to keep their distance, especially Allyk and Garamond, "Purity is our aim here, no offence meant but the last thing we need is for fuel or necrotic energies to be introduced to the pool, especially as I already am introducing some of those elements from my involvement." Once all the preparations have been made the ritual begins, Thalnazz forms a pool of holy energy, holding as much power as he dares. From this pull of power Meridia begins the siphon drawing the amply manifested holy energies out of Thalnazz, and guiding it into the well. The process is slow, it takes an our of intense focus from the two, carefully managing the flow of power to fill the well evenly. Finally with a bright flash the well 'ignites' emminating light and holy energy. The carful design on the exterior channeling the natural overflow of power to hold the well aloft. The Mage and the priest share an excited but exhausted look, I... I think it worked! She extends her hand over their light well willing its energies to fill her.

Immediately, Meridia feels the comforting warmth as the golden glow of the Lightwell touches her hand. She is filled with feelings of hope and courage. As much as this all feels right and good, the warmth of the Light brings a new sensation. The Light warms the cold of the blighted, grey flesh on her arm. It's like walking into a warm room after a long trek through the snow. She's warming up, but the cold is still in her bones.
OOC:
If anyone wants to add in what they do, what happens, etc during this, feel free.

Dormir respects the mage's wishes and stands idly at a good distance, positioned to stop any interruptions frm breaking the concentration needed for the ritual. Feeling mildly sour that he wasn't invited to inscribe the alloy bowl with the geometric patterns, he grumbles to himself, "Dern elf must be mad from th' fel energies. Forgot th' dwarf by 'er side who learned smithin' from th' best dern smithy in the Forge..." He gives a light grumble and brushes it aside. He's been assigned a duty. A duty that brings him back to the good ol' days. The days with his fellow dwarves in the 3RB. The days he spent with Treena. He wondered, lost himself in his memories of old. In the middle of recalling the last time Dormir saw her, he overheard Meridia.
"I... I think it worked!"
Dormir headed back toward the group. "How d'ye know it worked?"

Gazam leans against a wall near Dormir, far from the lightwell. He fights with himself between innocent curiosity, fearful suspicion, and a malevolent need to corrupt the project.

He grinds his tusks as he says to Dormir. "Not explode and set town on fire."

Meridia rolls up here sleeve to reveal the damaged flesh completely healed. The elf exuberantly hugs Thalnazz We did it... well almost. I can still feel the scourge like an aching set deep in my bones. Perhaps I'll need to keep our lightwell with me for a time. The holy energies slowly deep from the exhausted Mage. As the golden light fades from her eyes they are shown to have returned to bright blue.

As Meridia and Thalnazz revel in their success, Dormir feels a compulsion to return to the city.

Dormir absent mindedly raises a hand to his shirt pocket, clutching his gem. His mind begins to cloud and wander. All his attention slowly turns to the central tower of Theramore - Jaina's tower. The dwarf begins to walk as though in a dream, without haste. Unimpeded, he will return to the city soon.
Aug 7, 2017 9:48 am
Dormir seems to have left unnoticed. As he makes his way back to the city, the guards give him token acknowledgement as they let him pass unhindered. With blankly staring eyes, the dwarf takes measured, almost mechanical steps into the city and straight to the tower. The tower sits on a small hill. He is halfway up the path.
Aug 11, 2017 4:45 pm
Dormir, still in his dream-like state, finally makes it to the tower door. A knock on the door brings Pained to answer.
She briefly scrutinizes the lone dwarf before moving aside to let him in.
Once inside, Dormir attempts to go up the stairs he saw Jaina go up earlier. Pained quickly intercepts and sternly chides him, "Wait here."
He doesn't have to wait long before Jaina descends. She politely welcomes Dormir, offering him to sit.
The dwarf reaches into his pocket, grasping the gem.
OOC:
Dormir, make a Wisdom save.

OOC:
The dice gods are not liking you.
Dormir seems to struggle once he touches the gem, but his conflicted face does little to stop his hand from removing the gem. He helplessly watches the nightmare of his arm giving his gem away. Jaina looks at it curiously, taking a long moment to understand that the dwarf appears to be giving her this gem. Gingerly, she plucks the slightly sparkling gem from the dwarf's hand and holds it up to the light. Taking in how the bauble seems to play with the light, sparkling with peculiar colors.
OOC:
Dormir, you are still foggy headed, but you can act freely now.
Aug 12, 2017 3:30 am
Panic immediately takes over Dormir, the gem he has protected for so long so effortlessly taken from him..."Jaina! Ye must not separate th' gem from me! Ye've no idea what I've had t' do t' keep it."
