All come together

Confused, Jaina tries to understand what Dormir is saying, but she's having trouble taking her eye off the gem. She doesn't seem to fully register that Dormir is even there anymore. As the gem begins to shine with a bright fel light, Jaina's eyes are a reflection of the gem's light. There's a power building around her, palpable even to Dormir.

Gazam shrugged and grunted, "Dwarf walked away." He looks distractedly toward the city, where the disturbance is coming from.

Dormir, growing more panicked as Jaina seems to drift into a state of decreased mental faculties, tries to calmly assert himself to the mage. "Jaina! Ye must gain composure. Th' gem... it's got powers! I've felt 'em, an' I know ye feel 'em now! Ye must fight it with all ye've got!"
Dormir readies himself to intercept physically, if necessary.

Gazam is the first to head back to the city. He seems focused. The others join him as the magical disturbance grows. You all encounter almost no resistance as everyone's attention is on Jaina's tower. Waves of fel green energy emanate from it.
Inside, Jaina begins to float above the ground as fel winds whip her hair and robes all about as well as threatening to blow Dormir away. She grins maliciously as her eye glow a bright, fel green. The power around her continues to grow.

Your group joins Dormir and Jaina in her tower, Dormir looking to snatch his gem out of her hand at any second. The Lady of Theramore caught up in a powerful vortex of fel magic.

As the group enters to see the fel energy emanating from Dormir's gem and consuming the room, Dormir pushes forth, fighting the fel winds to gain footing and to grasp the gem in order to wrestle it from Jaina's possession.

Dormir manages to maintin his footing while pushing forward through the fel winds. Imagining that separating Jaina from the gem would prove even more difficult, Dormir reaches out to grasp the gem with one hand and lunges with his other shoulder to shove Jaina break her grasp on the gem.
Completely blind to all others in the room, he holds onto the gem, pulling it as close to his body as possible, pulling it into his chest with both arms and hunching over to cover it completely. True elation washes over Dormir's face as he is once again reunited with his gem.

Dormir's elation is short lived as a voice of rage and denial intrudes into his mind.
No!! You dare!!
His mind is suddenly assaulted.

*-~ P A I N ~-*The fel winds suddenly stop, dropping Jaina to the floor. She is dazed, but conscious. Meridia is still weaving her spell, channeling arcane energy. Pained comes crashing down the stairs, blade drawn, enraged and out of breath. "What is the meaning of-" She sees Jaina on the floor. "Lady Proudmoore!" She rushes to her side protectively. "Are you injured, milady" She glares at the party. "What have you done?!"

As Meridia finishes channeling her spell, Pained takes in the room and nods. The flaring green gem in Dormir's hands slowly dims. Tense silence fills the room as Meridia finishes her spell. Jaina has stood, Pained protectively at her side. The Lady of Theramore looks tired and worried. An awkward moment passes after the spell ends before Jaina breaks the silence. "I think we need to talk." She turns around, looking to the floor. Pained jumps to Jaina's aid, grabbing a chair and helping her to sit as she indicates you all to sit.

Dormir slowly climbs to his feet, holding his head with one hand the entire time. Still reeling from the mental assault, Dormir mumbles to himself, his words come out less than perfect. "Aye, int' th' chair ye go ye big lug..."

Gazam and the others take a seat in around the room and begin to tell Jaina about Dormir's gem. As the story goes on, she sits up straighter and seems to be recovering quickly from the encounter. She looks very intrigued about the whole thing and listens intently to whoever will share another bit of information.

"It spoke t' ye, did it not, Jaina? I've heard th' gem's call since th' moment th' glimmer caught me eye, sometimes louder than others... even seems t' reach out t' me. Shakes me. Screams at me. Havin' th' gem drove me from home, drove me from Treena... but there's somethin' about th' gem I just can't shake from me mind."

Jaina puts a hand on the warrior's arm, keeping her at bay. "A voice, yes. It was all very ... chaotic." Jaina nods her head a few times in affirmation. "I believe your gem is linked to a demon." She holds Dormir's gaze with a steel resolve. "It must be destroyed."

"Perhaps you are right. It is good that you are able to ward it." Jaina thinks for a moment. "Though I doubt the gem contains such a creature, it would be prudent to discern just what exactly we have here." She looks to Meridia and Thalnazz. "With the loss of the Sunwell, I understand asking you to channel the arcane may be a bit much, but this is a dire and worthy cause. Will you aid me in identifying this object and the magic of it? I would be actively probing it, but I need you two to channel the energy around me, like parting a curtain. Otherwise, the warding would be dispelled and we could all be at risk."
