The days went by with the scraps between Gazam and the Theramore guards. Eventually the orc left, frustrated with the delay of his vendetta again the human mage. Feeling obligated to guide his companion, Mul'Zeb left too.
Allyk had come around to Wembil's engineering passion. The undead man and the gnome were inseparable - by choice of them both now. They left Theramore on a personal mission of their own for "an engineering feat of brilliance" as Wembil put it.
Last to leave was Dormir. At Lady Proudmoore's behest, the dwarf made the trek back across the Great Sea to his homeland to learn more of the curious gem that had so recently plagued the life of the party.
That left Meridia and Thalnazz...

The two elves continued to discuss their respective pasts and fields of research, while Meridia got a handle on the basics of manipulating the holy energies of the Lightwell. After alerting a colleague from the Arcane college back in Silvermoon of her location, she is sent a message filling her in on the current suitableness of the Blood Elves diplomatic position. A particular part of this correspondence catches her attention, and she seeks out Thalnazz.

So given your interest in the worship of various races, how would you like the chance to meet with a Priestess of the tides? Apparently our ancient cousins are now treating with the Sin'dorei. I think I recall a hearing that the Nagas had taken Alcaz island from the humans of this city and, maybe for a change you can leverage my allies to aid your quest.

"Naga??" Thalnazz asked incredulously. He sputters for a moment, "I never dreamed- I mean they don't- Though I'm not sure-" He stands frozen in thought for a moment before speaking again in a much calmer tone. This is incredible news, but are you certain it's safe? Just because the Naga are treating with the Sin'dorei, does that mean we have assured our safety when meeting with just any of them? Thalnazz is quite obviously nervous - and just the tiniest bit excited - about the prospect.

Meridia smirks at the priests eagerness, Nothing is garunteed, we could get run down in the streets tomorrow for all I know. But I think they wouldn’t attack us outright. I have studied something of their culture and know their tongue, so we should be able to treat with them, and if the Sin’dorei are their allies on the battlefield they will certainly accept a pair of scholars who simply wants to talk to them about their culture. It seems they have a rather tight knit society so my kind actions in the Eatern Kingdoms should affect their kin here in Kalimdor... though we will need to find a boat.

The priest thought for a moment. Yes, I suppose you're right. There's still trepidation in his voice, but Thalnazz seems on board with the plan. Well, we are in the port city of Theramore. Do we charter a ship to the middle of the ocean?

Meridia looks puzzled for a moment, No that would be silly, we should meet with them while we are on a more or less equal footing, let’s try to charter a ship for Alcaz island and see what we can find...

"Alcaz island?" Now it was Thalnazz's turn to be confused. "That island Northeast of Theramore? From the human buildings I saw, I assumed it was part of Theramore. What makes you think we will find Naga there?"
Apr 12, 2018 9:10 pm
I overheard some military planners talking about retaking the island from nagas so I assume we’d find some there.

"I see." Thalnazz stared off into the distance, toward the island they spoke about. "Are we to be warning the Naga, as they are new allies of the Blood Elves? Are we ... what are we? I left Silvermoon to follow the Light. You took the name Sin'Dorei but I did not and yet we look the same." The priest's calm yet troubled tone gave voice to an issue he had been dancing around for some time during their stay in Theramore.

Hmm? I hadn’t actually considered that... Noticing Thalnazz’s sudden meloncholic mood Meridia takes a softer tone. I’ like many others, took the name Sin’Dorei to honour the fallen from that war and s a mark of pride that Silvermoon had survived the terrible lose. That said as far as I’m concerned there is no difference between us, we are both still Quel’Dorei after all. Sure there’s some weird politics starting up that has driven a wedge between those who stayed in Silvermoon and those who left but I’ve never been one to pay attention to politics too much. We are colleagues who study two sides of the same coin offered a unique chance to learn things unknown to our kind and that should excite us!

Meridia's words brought a smile to Thalnazz's face. "Academic study it is then, and be damned the politics." He looked out towards shore then. "I doubt anyone will take us to the island if they know Naga are there. Perhaps we will rent one."
