Luna would like to make a sprint to the craft to prevent it from taking off. But I'm unsure if that is possible. I imagine there is an entry hatch that she can prevent from closing. If it is possible I would like to spend 2 momentum to keep the initiative on our side.

@Stefron Have Luna make a Fitness + Conn test D2 to grab something on the way and jam the door. If you only make a D1 then you'll have to use your arm or leg.1. Drake fires
2. NPC Scientist time into the vehicle bay, skidding to a stop at all the weapons fire .
3. M'Ress lays down cover fire
4. Luna ruins to the sub, trying to jam the door open.
5. Next NPC...

Luna makes a dash towards the sub trying to prevent it from taking off. She almost grabs a metal rod on the way but loses her grip on it in the sprint.
Desperate she tries to block the hatch with her foot.

Luna gets her foot in the door, keeping the submersible hatch open. There's a ferengi there with a disruptor who looks upset by her actions.
The Ferengi pilot attempts to open the bay doors. While protected by a force field, the sub could still escape.
Initiative Summary
1. Drake fires
2. NPC Scientist time into the vehicle bay, skidding to a stop at all the weapons fire .

4. Luna ruins to the sub, trying to jam the door open with her foot.

Cole watched, face scrunching in concern as Luna, finding nothing of use on hand, attempted to bar the door with her foot. Quickly turning to Jayce, Cole ordered the counselor to assist Chief Orda in negotiating with the approaching culprits while simultaneously snapping to get Drake's attention and pointing towards their blue-haired pilot, signaling the ensign to join him in assisting. Making a quick survey of his surroundings he looked for something he could wedge into the opening in place of Luna's foot and found a small container of comparable size and made a dash for the hatch and his pilot.
With (2) Successes I assume he found an object?

Cole finds a long synthsyeel rod and runs to the sub, shoving the bar into the hatch.
The Ferengi in the hallway runs in and sees the flashing lights along with the hoo-mans engaged in some kind of assault on the submersible. He dives for the control console for the vehicle bay.
Aurin-Ah is last then it's a new round.

There's a bit of stalemate going on: a stand off at the door to the sub, Drake covering the angles, and Aurin-Ah taking control of the controls to the vehicle bay.
I'm going to spend the remaining Threat to up the stakes. You have a chance to take this in hand, but together you'll need to accumulate 7 successes on your actions.
Choose your course of action, describe what you want to accomplish to tip the scales, and make the roll. There's no Momentum left, but you can give me a Threat for an extra die. I'll use any such Threat at the end to make things interesting.

Growing up on a frontier world, Cole was no stranger to physical exertion having found a lengthy synthsteel rod with which to bar the hatch and even more satisfying, to provide ample leverage with which to force the hatch open. His immediate concern was for his young, and somewhat brash, pilot who with her foot stuck in the door faced any manner of unknown threats from inside. Taking a grip upon the rod and a strong stance, Cole began to pull ...

The doctor looked around for some piece of equipment or cross beam that she could shoot down and either damage the sub or block progress of the fleeing Ferengi not yet on the sub. Spotting a heavy communication array above the docking area, she let loose a shot, praying her calculations for its fall to the subs "windshield" were accurate

"Hold it!" He tried to look threatening. His wings flared and he narrowed his brows, knowing most humanoids found the squint to be intimidating. All of his concentration was in holding the tiny, tiny phaser steady, trying not to shake as he struggled to his feet.
"There's a Nebula-class federation starship in orbit, waiting to intercept you. Security is on its way. Just...! Just... stand down." He cautiously approached the Ferengi at the control console, hoping to convince him to give it up - or at least hesitate to let his allies take the situation more decisively into hand.

CAPTAIN'S LOG |
STARDATE 45667.4 |
While away at a conference on Tyroth in the system Gnycish 2, the away team was drawn into an investigation of an assassination of a Plynlik ambassador. During the conflict, a Ferengi crew of scientists and sabateurs were exposed, and evidence obtained as to their complicity in the murder. |
The purpose of the assassination was even stranger. Examination by the Tyrothian security team revealed that the Ferengi were engaged in research into the grafting of local fauna genetics onto sentient life forms. A number of kidnapped people from across the quadrant were found, all of them deceased, in varying stages of the forbidden experiments. |
It should be noted that decades ago, the research station was shut down for similar experiments. It appears the allure of purpose built laboratories was too great for the mercenary Ferengi scientists to ignore. Of course, there is no connection to their government and the Grand Nagus disavows any knowledge of these 'scientists'. With the Tyrothian's permission, they were turned over to the Plynlik trial in the customs of their people. Captain Okloko of the starship Gragolok indicated that the Plynlik, the deceased ambassador's people, were grateful for the assistance, and I estimate that relations between them and the Federation can only be improved by the deftness with which my crew handled the sensitive mission. |
