"I'm not going to risk a fight against a pack of dogs... but I wonder if what they're eating could be a human corpse..." Hoffmann mutters, stepping back slowly with a firm grip on Artur so he wouldn't get any ideas.

Artur takes a deep breath. Does he smell a scent of blood, or perhaps of rotting flesh?

Without getting closer, you don't think you can figure out what the dogs are eating. Rumors of missing people haunt your thoughts. Could this be one such case, or just a rabbit?

By backing away, the dogs leave you be. Do you look around, or retreat further, perhaps to the safety of the main building?

"Maybe we can look around for now? There's got to be more to see here than a few dogs and loose floorboards," Burt says to the others. "Maybe we can try and walk the perimeter?"

"We haven't search the perimeter, nor finish checking inside, I'm ok with both and don't care much about the order. Just... stay together, so we can help if someone breaks a leg."

"Yes we should stay together" camcorder is running.

1) Return to the main house and give it a thorough search
2) Drive off the dogs and investigate their prey
3) Search out the source of the sounds in the night
4) Have a look through the other outbuildings (let's give these the aspect: Red Herring)

Myles looks around "I say we head back in the house and clear that before we get sidetracked."

Burt rubs his belly and says, "OK, but I may let you take the lead. I may be a little to fat for this place."

Blue nods at the prospect of going back to the house.

You return to the main building, leaving the whispers and the sounds of feasting wild dogs behind. The house seems darker than when you left, colder somehow.

You have some options: splitting up will put less weight on the creaky floorboards, but leave you vulnerable to whatever might make its nest in the house. There are three zones to explore: the main floor, the upstairs rooms, and the cellar.

Who goes where?

Myles will look around for some kind of club after encountering the dogs some kind of weapon would be prudent. "I think the cellar would be a good place to start. At least that is where the ghost hunters always go."

Blue sees Zoot looking for a makeshift club or weapon, and dies the same. He is not, in any way, a good fighter.. but figures it is still better to have some kind of melee weapon than having none.

You can easily break a wallboard off, and end up with one with nails on one end.

"Sure, but in that case maybe I should just walk out onto the floor. The fastest way to the basement is probably to just fall through boards here," he says. He laughs but tests the floor again to see if it will bear his weight.
