Torhak levels his arm once more, his Dragonmark flared and a tendril of black miasma leaks from it and circle down his arm before shooting out like a javelin made of charred wood at the nearest enemy.

Torhak fires his bolt and hits the creature near them as they pass. The creature hisses through its teeth at the minotaur.

Kalli nocks two arrows, taking aim at the two creatures on their right. Seeing where 37 is leading, she spurs Stella to take the lead. She her first arrow pierces Torhak’s victim in its glowing red eye and the creature sinks beneath the water. Her second arrow merely grazes the other creature. Kalli then charges ahead toward the bridge.

Dubdub raises his clawed staff toward the black canopy above and a violent cloud spontaneously begins to swirl above the group. He points his staff at the creatures that now fall behind the cart. A dazzling display of crackling, purple lightning courses through the creatures. The giant hyena is silhouetted in the brilliant light as only one creature is still swimming.

Laulalith is up, with the creatures on deck.

Kalli is safely out of initiative.

Laulalith's eyes flash black as two more energy bolts streak towards the nearest creature.

As the tempest swirls overhead, Laulalith the Bard fires an eldritch blast at the creature nearest to her. The blast causes the creature’s arm to go limp, he drops his net with a splash and stops advancing. Seeing that the creature is mortally wounded, the elf fires her second blast at the last one from Dubdub’s lightning strikes. The blast is enough to end the miserable creature’s existence.

The crippled creature drops his shield and throws his spear in defiance at Laulalith. She easily snatches the spear out of the air.

Another jumps onto the wagon’s side and stabs at Dubdub. The spear sticks into the druid’s arm and he grunts in pain.

Torhak similarly faces a creature jumping onto his side, stabbing at the minotaur, but he blocks the attack with his shield.

The last tries to grapple the poor axe beak once more. The embattled creature is grabbed and dragged deeper into the swamp. The creature caws loudly before it disappears beneath the surface.
OOC:
Meepo, roll me a DC 15 constitution save for the Axe Beak. It won’t be one of your actions.

While submerged, attacks against the creature have disadvantage.

Meepo is up, with Tryne on deck.

Meepo yells out to creature 8 and 9. "What are you doing! They are trying to stop us" and then points to the axebeak

Meepo sends a ray of frost at creature 2 (if I can't see it due to submerged then Meepo will target #10)
Bonus action to recover sorcery points from a lvl 1 spell slot

Meepo’s icy blast misses the creature and disappears into the darkness.

Beneath the surface, the axe beak breaks free of the creature’s grip and thrashes to the surface. It staggers away through the water to rejoin the rest of the party, running a gauntlet of creatures and spears in its terror. Its eyes looking wildly around it as it makes it to shore.

Tryne raises his gauntleted hand and triggers the runes of fire, sending a bolt of fire at one of the creatures trying to cling to the wagon.

Growing frustrated at the neverending waves of these damnable... things... 37 glances back, seeing the axebeak struggling to catch up. A hand lashes out, and small glowing wedges of pure energy streak unerringly towards the swamp-born surrounding it. Unfortunately, beyond that he knows he must maintain his focus on driving, lest they all be overwhelmed.

Action to cast Magic Missile with a level 2 slot at #2 (2 missiles) and #5 (2 missiles). Can't remember if we roll per missile, or it's one roll and all missiles do the same... I'll make four rolls, but you can use the first across all attacks if you'd rather.

Tryne and 37 take turns battering the creature on the wagon. Yet, despite the onslaught and his weakened state, the creature keeps a firm grip on the side.

37 finds firmer grounds and throttles up the cart to its fullest speed. He can feel the elemental’s energy respond excitedly and the cart charges ahead, catching up with Kalli and leaving the rest of the creatures behind.

Glimpses of the stretched faces of the Grey Mist can now be seen through the swamp’s trees. The bridge can also be seen ahead of the

Creature Three hangs onto the left side, Creature Ten is looking very beaten, but defiant. The axe beak is looking weak, its brilliant plumage stained black from the swamp.

I figure we can play the rest of the encounter Theatre of the Mind.
