"Even if you come out of the Gray with your mind and limbs intact, you're still going to starve. You need salvage to earn your bread and water. Mere survival isn't a goal, it's a punishment."

- Wilton Scree, halfling scavenger (deceased)

The brokers of Salvation pay good coin for artifacts scavenged from the haunted battlefields of the Mournland. In this nest of cutthroats, daring explorers gather to carve their destinies from the ruins of Cyre. Theyโ€™ll need all the help they can get: itโ€™s no secret that most scavengers donโ€™t survive their first expedition in the Gray.

This game will use the 5e 2024 rules but allow character options from 2014. It is set in Eberron. Characters will start at first level, and advance to level 20 by the end of this campaign. You will begin as a salvage team that works near and in the Mournland, seeking artifacts, lost items and treasures from the ruined nation of Cyre. Your home is the town of Salvation, a rag tag homlet built on the business of scavenging. You're likely not from there (no ones from Salvation), but it will be your base of operations at least at the beginning of the campaign.

Step boldly into the Mournland! Unearth the find of the century! Unravel the secrets of the Draconic Prophecy!

The Oracle of War adventure series was published for the D&D Adventurers League. It's a great campaign set in Eberron that takes characters all the way from level 1 to level 20. I'd love to run this campaign here. Anyone interested? I'm looking for five players. I'll monitor this thread until 9am CST Monday November 19th.

5e2014 or 5e2024?

2024 rules with 2014 character options allowed.

I am interested. Haven't played 5e since it was new and I love Eberron.

@runekindig Sounds cool.

Might as well make this a recruitment thread. Edited the first post and linked to the game page. Both of you who've shown interest are already being considered.

My concept is of a young man who Idolises the stories of the Knights Arcane. This elite force operates primarily within the nation of Aundair, known for its dedication to blending martial prowess with arcane magic. The Knights Arcane embody the ideals of disciplined, magically skilled warriors who defend their homeland with valor and intelligence, wielding both weapons and spells to incredible effect.

I imagine that he has gotten his hands on teaching assistant tool, a book or similar that can teach him the basic about being a bladesinger, but not past the 5 level. So he has to find the real Knights Arcane to advance.
OOC:
I want to give him some fanboy admiration towards this group he knows a little about. A bit like Po in Kongfu-panda

Count me interested, though I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to 5.5 and Eberron. I am curious and willing to learn. No character idea in my mind immediately, though I tend to gravitate towards support characters, in particular clerics. Maybe something of a cleric with a focus on unearthing mysteries and forbidden lore? Less in it for the loot, more in it for the hideous discoveries he or she might make in the Mournlands.

Why do you keep posting awesome ideas? I love Eberron, and am interested in learning the 2024 iteration of the rules. I'm gonna express interest you know...

I didn't know that we where doing concepts yet. But ok ๐Ÿ˜‚. I would be playing a Halfling fighter. He was hanging around training grounds of the nights and is more or less self though by mimicking the Knights training. Nobody paid attention to him and now that he feels ready he Is embarking on his adventures.

I am not familiar with the 2024 rules, but I wouldn't mind joining.

I love Eberron! So it seems like the perfect place to start my "carrier" on Gamers Plane, right?!
I know my way around 5e 2014, but haven't played anything with 2024
Just like I played a lot of pip, but never on this platform before.

I would be up to playing anything Eberron -specific.
But if I am to pitch an idea, I have a short homeless thief lying around; from Sharn, but on the run from the Boromar Clan. Salvation seems like the perfect place to hide!

For those of you, who are unfamiliar with the changes to D&D5e2024 there are free rules 2024 on dnd beyond. That should give you the relevant changes to the character creation. That is the primary change to the rules. Then there is the martial characters who have gotten their weapon mastery.
Actions you can take during a round have also been clarified. Exhaustion rules have been improved for the better. Its there in the free rules, check them out.

I'm interested! I don't know much about Eberron, but I'd certainly like to learn more. I'm thinking of playing a 2024 Rogue (planned subclass Assassin) that used to be the physician to a ruler before she was framed for the ruler's assassination. Disgraced and hunted, she fled and drifted from place to place until she found herself in Salvation. As for why she joined the salvage team, she figured she could use her skills to earn enough money to establish a practice and then live her days quietly.

Monk and Sorcerer are also tempting options.

Hi! I would love to play in your campain. :)

What is the posting rate you're looking for, Josh?

My idea for a character would be a fae warlock. Maybe from House Orien? The new mechanics of the archfae blend in so well with the whole Orien messenger/teleporting flair in my opinion, maybe some cool fluff could come out of this. *s*

I own a 2024 PG so rules shouldn't be a problem as well.
