OOC:
Needless to say, it is dead by someone’s hand.
Beyond the intersection where the creatures attacked, the path northward is blocked by a wall of debris, suspiciously placed. You will have to find a way around. You could conceivably clear enough debris to pass, though it would take time and might draw unwanted attention. It would also mean getting into the filthy river of sewage that runs down the middle of the passage.

Lunori stood upright, one hand thoughtfully cradling his chin, the other supporting his elbow. His gaze lingered on the sodden barricade ahead. Though the air reeked of mildew and decay, his voice remained smooth and low — almost theatrical:

"Wouldn't this be the purrfect moment to initiate contact? Sheltered behind this wall. We could purrley, with claws sheathed and tempers cooler than this sewer’s breeze."

The human shrugged, "I suppose, if they are nearby. This wall may be far from their lair."

He paused to consider the feline's words. "What would you ask them - if they are the murderers and would they like to turn themselves in to the guard?"

Breg studies the immediate area, checking for alternative direction. Drawing upon his urban knowledge of sewer and city!

Rolls

Knowledge (Geography) (Int) - (1d20+0)

(6) = 6

I was thinking about asking them what they know about the man's death, and ask them if they could send us an invitation for we heard they are doing dog fights. In that way we will not accuse them upright and we will know if they are really the one that are doing dog fight.

If we neeed to, we can come back later, or go on directly to attack them.
OOC:
Sorry, no time to work on the text.

Using what little he knows of the city, Breg thinks that going further west should logically lead to another junction where you might be able to circle back beyond the blockage.
Jul 15, 2025 1:21 pm
Westward will probably lead us around the rubble, Breg says to his companions, only somewhat assuredly.
Barring objections, our rangerly fellow guides his party due-west.

The stalker nodded at Lunori's suggested questions, "Should they not kill us on sight, perhaps you will get the chance to ask those questions."

He moved to follow Breg toward the west passage.

You have already done your decision just because the first person we met told you they are the guilty party? That is a very strange way to discover the truth! THe first to talk is always right—well that's a first for me.

He follows the others

The quartet moves west and, as expected, finds another four-way intersection that appears to bypass the blockage. As you approach the corner, you hear splashing from around the bend. Peeking around, Aldezar sees a pair of reptilian humanoid creatures making their way through the water, seemingly oblivious to the filthy nature of the liquid. Each carries a club and has a small sack slung over a shoulder. Their backs are to you, and they seem oblivious to your presence.

With dual blades drawn, Breg attempts to sink into sewer-minded shadows.

Rolls

Stealth (Dex) - (1d20+3)
