I’ve been getting a lot of 90’s arcade-game playthroughs since running HGS! I guess it’s because of the game music searches.

@FlyingSucculent , you can free Vera without a roll. I won’t be able to post for at least a couple hours, in case you want to edit in the slashy attempt (which will succeed in freeing Vera).

Pretty much anything you want to do can work dicelessly, except for leaving that rib-cagey looking area.

Hehe, half of the idea was to get out of the way and free Vera to allow them to have a heartfelt reunion without pesky chains. For cinematic purposes.

I had a different giant robot in mind when we had six players, but I’m quite happy that the mechanical horse set up a fun wordplay.

Also, I have a coworker whose last name is Maximilian. I was trying to find the ultimate evil robot, and when I heard her name over the intercom a few days ago, I remembered that Maximilian is the only robot ever to die and go to hell. Bonus that Disney’s vision of hell matched the background of Vera’s image.

On that, credit to digital artist "Kate Foxx." That’s her pen name and the Kitsune’s name. And if you didn’t know, the Red Soil and Autocorrect imagery are from Disney’s The Black Hole.

Anyway, Pegatron has 40 HP (💝 = 5) and 16 "items." I gave Violet one item which allows her to intervene once.

You speak words beyond my knowledge (I must be not a Disney fan, haha), but I am entertained by them nevertheless. Also props to the artists indeed, I love the squad's avatars. :3

Pegatron is probably a reference to Metroid (I don't know the game, but the helmet is from it, right?), but I can't help but think of Power Rangers and sentai genre instead. XD Speaking of which, if anyone likes fighting robots and tactical videogames, check out Chroma Squad - it's a fun one! :D

Yes, Samus’ helmet coincidentally matched Vera’s and Absinthe’s color schemes. Vera couldn’t plausibly have a vehicle (like I really try for plausibility), so I ran with ‘she has a helmet… now.’

Pegasus and Voltron were combined to make "Pegatron," but how that’s a wordplay is that it rhymes with Megatron:


He’s the original main villain in the Transformers, a cartoon that was basically a commercial for Hasbro.


—not that I have a problem with Hasbro, considering my dad’s company made a few G.I. Joe toys.

The final battle has started with a literal coin toss for the "initiative" roll, and the toss was in your favor. As Dystopian Mario would say, "Let’s… a-go."

@FlyingSucculent - You don’t need to block right now, so if you want, you can re-roll the gunner move (-ITEM) and use the Outrageous Heel to HARM.

The result will replace the block—and that would be a hell of a first move, since you already rolled ULTRA with the driver’s attack!!

Hmm, do I want to gamble with my lowest stat either ruining my good roll or making it truly fabulous? I suppose the original intent was the item, so I shall! :D

There was no gamble because you keep the Ultra. So you inflicted 8 damage with the ultra, plus another 12 from the "magical item" attack.

Hey, don't rain on my parade, I'm choosing to think that I won a risky gamble. XD (Jk, jk.)

@Dmbrainiac, There’s nothing to block (yet), so if you want to, you can reroll the Gunner move as Blast or -Item.
