@FlyingSucculent, when you get a chance, please change one of your 2D stats (🕹️or ☢️) to 3D.

You should have a 2D, a 3D and a 4D.

I don't think I stated it, but I did level up when you asked upon my rejoining, increasing the hearts (technically I forgot to level up and only remembered halfway through at which point hearts seemed easier to increase, but let's not focus on that). So I had the same amount of level ups as everyone else, I just put one in hearts.

For comparison, Thundra at level 4 was 6/2/3/2 and is now 6/3/4/2, two levels difference.
My stats at level 4 were 5/2/3/2 and are now 6/2/4/2.

Rather than examine all the choices/level-ups, let’s go with what’s fair now:

For the ROLL, everyone should have total of 9 dice: a 2D, a 3D and a 4D stat.

Everyone’s Pegatron-form has an ITEM+LIFE total of 12, which is higher than what you gave your characters:
• ✨5 / 💛7
• 👠4 / ❤️8
• 🚀3 / 💙9
• ⚡️3 / 🩵9

Same here. I’ve been working on a solution because the risk of inventing a system is that I know it, but I need to better communicate it to players.

I’m taking a proactive approach for the next game I run, using check-boxes for leveling so there’s little room for error. The only fillable-fields will be health and magic, but something like:

It's often a problem with playtests, hard to keep track of things when they're always in flux.
Are you basing the new game on this or similar system? I do like it, inconsistencies aside. I'd love to watch how it goes!

Yes. I like where it ended up, so the character sheets are set up to commit to a strikingly similar system.

The enemy got KO’d before you could act, so I feel I owe you a round 3 action. This works. I’ll count dusting the giant coin as "helpful." How helpful is up to the dice.

When Brainiac ran Pathfinder’s Fist of the Ruby Phoenix, I played my first (and so far only) character to reach Level 20. She was Hotcha Pom-Pom Pomegranate Twinkletoes, and she was f***ing awesome. Despite playing a five inch tall sprite with a dumb name, I was geeking out over Ruby Phoenix. It was martial-artsy, and had an eastern feel. You didn’t have to kill opponents until after the bad guys committed mass murder—but you could spare people in a regular fight, and generally opponents were gracious in defeat. (Or victory; we lost once.)

Point is, I had such a love for this campaign—and Brainiac deserves credit for that—I felt inspired to draw the team (once) and my own character (several times). Some drawings had Hotcha taking on video game fighters, including the Smash Bros. final boss, MASTER HAND and the secret boss, CRAZY HAND.

@Qralloq, since you said you never played Mario Kart, I wonder if you also managed to avoid Smash Bros. At any rate, Masher Hand is based on Master Hand. And Jigglypalm’s name is derived from the Pokémon character Jigglypuff, but it’s basically Crazy Hand.

(You earned the extra boss by keeping everyone’s HP above 5 upon AC’s defeat. So now the final boss has double the health and double the attack power. Uh… congrats?)

The behaviors of each hand are based on which operates the buttons, and which operates the joystick.

I’m glad you didn’t all burn through your items vs. Autocorrect. ☢️-ITEM Harm really hurts! The trick is, if Masher Hand forces you to ㊙️BLOCK, you can’t also use the item that round.

If you get attacked by both hands at once, however, I’ll let you choose your defense and 🛡️SAFE!! will stop both hands. It would be neither fair nor fun to make you choose between rolling two defenses or taking a hit. The only thing that should stop you from making any move vs. the enemy is a 💢MISS.

So when you roll, don’t do that.


Oh… and another thing. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom measures attack damage in billions, in case you didn’t get the reference.
