"Oh my gods what did we do??" I put my hand on my face, trying to remember something. After that I start to search in my body to see If I have any strange tattos and ask Wormwick "Do you remember something about this? Or have any new tatto? haha"

Delvane's search reveals no new tattoos on her person.

Wormwick's eyes widen. He wears hand wraps on each hand; he starts to remove the wrap from his right hand. Once it's off, he rolls up his right sleeve.

He sees a new tattoo on his forearm, depicting a naked angel. Startled, he blurts out, "blah!" He points at it, then looks at you, then looks at the barkeeper, who laughs even more.

After seeing this scene, I try hard to stifle my laughter, pressing both hands against my mouth. "Oh my, I hope this wasn’t expensive." Then, I glance at the barkeep and say, "Thank you for your help, and sorry for whatever we did here last night."
"And do you have some food for travel that we can buy?" I say after noticing I'm very hungry, maybe it's because of last night.

I turn to Wormwick, still trying not to laugh. "I... I... think it’s a good idea to visit that tattoo shop."

The barkeeper finishes tidying up, and then lays out a fine lunch for you and for Wormwick. You get a biscuit, a bowl of soup, a turkey leg, a nob of cheese flecked with almonds, a crisp apple, and a flagon of something that the barkeeper calls "owl-beer," as well as a sweetroll. It costs you a gold piece, but Wormwick agrees to pay his half, which amounts to five pieces of silver.

Having eaten well, you make your way to the tattoo shop. Again, certain passersby take time to holler strange things at you.

When you arrive at the tattoo shop, you see once again that the events of last night have left the place in shambles. There are broken chairs, busted windows, and a few tattoo needles sticking out of the walls.

The shop owner is a half-elf covered from head to toe in colorful tattoos, his ears adorned with several earrings each. He greets you both with a warm hug, despite Wormwick's nonverbal protests.

"Friends, you saved me a lot of trouble last night. Those creeps from The Order of Light are always preaching virtue and acceptance, but they became hostile once they found out I was a member of Grogglekin. But you! You guys gave them a sound thrashing!"

You have heard of both of these factions, The Order of Light and Grogglekin.

The Order of Light is a large church with a powerful clergy; some of them call upon benevolent gods to cast powerful, righteous spells.

The Grogglekin, on the other hand, are part of a cult which seeks to undermine civilization and bring back the old times, when giants ruled over all sentient beings (or at least, all the sentient beings who weren't allied with the dragons).

"Helloo" I talk in a awkward voice trying to remember if I know this person "I'm glad we aren't the one's who did this mess"
"Actually we got some problems remembering what happened last night, do you know something about it? Everything I remember was that we come here with some folks to make tattos"

The half-elf explains, "some people from The Order of Light tried to convince me I'm doing something wrong. I told them they're crazy, and that one day all people will serve the giants. They were upset by that. They started casting spells at me and trying to break every tattoo needle I have.

"That's when you guys decided to intervene. You were great!" The half-elf gestures toward Delvane. "You punched one of the bishops square in the face! He lost a tooth! It was awesome. Then they started blasting at you with magic, and you went on shooting spells right back at 'em!

"You know, if you guys wanted to join Grogglekin, I could definitely put in a good word for you."

"That... That’s true? I did that? I must have drunk a lot to be able to do that. I’m not usually so violent," I say, shocked, knowing I’d normally think three times before trying to punch someone, especially a bishop. "But I’m glad everything went well, and thank you for the offer, haha," I add, trying to be polite while wondering what my patron would say about me joining a cult.

"I have more questions for you, but before that, do you have any stories about the tattoo on my friend’s arm?" I ask, pointing to the tattoo on Wormwick’s arm.

The half-elf opens his mouth to explain, but as he does, a ridiculously muscular humanoid barges into the tattoo shop. He appears to be half man, half chameleon. He is about a foot taller than the half-elf.

Here's an image for reference. I can't figure out how to make this visible in the post...

He lunges toward Wormwick, grabs the goblin by the collar, and with one hand, hurls him through a window. The window shatters, sending Wormwick and many shards of glass into the street.

The chameleon-man steps out into the street and says in a Cockney accent, "you's da one what stole my carriage last night! I'm gonna grind you into goblin paste!"

Delvane, it looks like Wormwick is in trouble. The donkey and your Unseen Servant are standing by, watching this scene unfold, without any sort of strong reaction.

Meanwhile, down the street, an onlooker notices Wormwick's plight. A man wearing clothes that seem better suited to the desert than the streets of this town. A man who is heavily armed and who knows how to handle himself in a scrap.

Delvane and Dezd, roll for initiative!

Still chocked by the situation I try to run towards Wormwick and command the unseen servant to throw something on the chameleon to distract him.

Dezd has come to this rich kingdom looking for more than the scraps that are all that's left of the once great empire of what is now the wastelands. He has his weapons, his book of poetry, and a willingness to do whatever is necessary to earn his way.

In the streets of this incredibly rich, incredibly filthy city, he sees a man attack a goblin. Fair enough, that's what you should do to the little sneaking menaces. The goblin's owner, a robed woman, seems upset by this attack. Dezd didn't know what price goblins fetched in this part of the world but a slave owning woman must have money.

Striding up to the fight, Dezd commanded the man:

"Stop! Do not hurt this woman's servant. I'm sure this issue can be settled without harming the vexing beast. Now tell me what happened, then we will let this lady tell her side, and I'm sure we can come to an equitable agreement."

Secret Roll

The chameleon-man is not a great communicator. In fact, his training makes him suited for combat, and little else. He perceives Dezd merely as a creature who has come between him and his quarry. He snarls at Dezd and prepares to attack.

"Now you face Brutus, champion o' the ring!"

Delvane's Unseen Servant hurls dust from the road into Brutus's face. Unfortunately, the distraction has no effect.
Nov 26, 2024 3:45 pm
"And it comes to this. Not reasonable working out of a dispute but killing in the streets. I am very sorry but I cannot let you kill me.

Dezd proclaims this, projecting it with his singer's voice. He is a stranger, a foreigner, and if they check, his wrists bear the marks of long years in chains and his back the scars of many whippings. He does not want to be jailed again for what, a goblin and a petty dispute that he already regrets getting involved in.

Nonetheless, the code of survival demands much. He draws his shamsir and his talwar, flips them once to settle them in his grip, and awaits the rush of the ring fighter. He will not start this fight.

Dodge this round only, if allowed after drawing two swords. I don't think I can do both though.

Wormwick observes the battle stance Dezd has taken, and notes how large Brutus is. Wormwick decides to sheath his blade and pull out a sling and some stones.

He loads the sling, then lets fly a stone in Brutus's direction.

As I noticed a strange man approaching to help and the battle beginning with Wormwick's sling, I couldn't help but seing the size of the chameleon man, I thought my daggers wouldn't be sufficient. Even though Wormwick said it’s dangerous to use magic, I draw one of my daggers as a precaution, run toward Brutus, and try to use Chill Touch on him.

Chill Touch - (1d20+4)

OOC:
I'll just tell you up front, this guy has an AC of 11. Should be pretty easy to hit. Go ahead and roll for damage!

I get as close as possible to him, taking advantage of the fact that he's distracted because of Wormwick, and touch his back.
