The man opens the top ledger to where a satin ribbon has bookmarked the last page. He runs a finger down the list of scribbles and then reads in a monotone, "Hm... Fortune Star... Chartered to take passengers."

He turns and thumbs through the pile of papers before pulling out a document. "Name, gender, and race." The paper is rotated to face Coda and slid across the table. The top of the paper reads Passenger Manifest. Below that is the line The Fortune Star, sailing from port of Eglar City, Eglar, arriving at Jyehm Cay The Tower of the Fallen. A large blank space follows.

"Name, gender, and race, I'm not familiar with ship protocol, what is this for?" Coda looks over the paper and looks back up "Everything seems to be correct."* Coda grabs a quill from the table, dips it in some ink and starts to write his name, unnecessarily fancy and painstakingly slow to make sure it's perfect.

OOC:
You know, that's my bad. I've corrected the Passenger Manifest with the destination of Tower of the Fallen.
Oct 14, 2016 10:36 pm
The man does not say anything, instead irritatingly pointing his finger at the words Passenger Manifest.
Oct 14, 2016 11:06 pm
With a nod and a chuckle "Ah my bad, my brain must be still be half asleep." Coda finishes writing his name and begins on his gender and race, as fancily and slowly as his name. "So, can you tell us anything about our captain?"
Oct 14, 2016 11:23 pm
"Captain of The Fortune Star," the man says plainly, irritation slipping into his voice.
Oct 14, 2016 11:50 pm
"Ah, I never would of guessed that." Coda finishes writing his gender and race. "Do you want everyone to sign it personally or can I fill it out for them?"
Oct 14, 2016 11:54 pm
The man gestures with his hand and turns his head in such a way as to convey the fact that he doesn't care, so long as the manifest is filled out.

Coda offers the quill, filling out for those who decline, less fancy and more quickly this time around though. He also adds a heart at the bottom of the page, in hopes to cheer the man up.

OOC:
For reference, what name(s) did you and/or everyone else write? I figured I should ask since it wasn't explicitly mentioned.
Oct 15, 2016 1:22 am
Daniel provides his name, asking Coda to write it for him given his lack of sight.
Oct 15, 2016 1:52 am
Coda closes his eyes and writes Daniels name.

OOC:
Coda, make a Dexterity check, please.
Oct 15, 2016 2:07 am
OOC:
Gladly.
Edit: Jesus...

You all observe Coda enter Daniel's name with flawless penmanship, evenly spaced letters, and on a straight line despite having no visual reference.
Oct 15, 2016 3:06 am
Geno admires Coda's penmanship and is fine with not using his own signature.

"Your writing is very impressive. Glad to have a diplomat among us."
Oct 15, 2016 4:25 am
Coda opens his eyes and with a mixture of pride, disappointment, and shock that his writing came out so flawless he lets out a confused 'huh'. Coda finishes writing Daniel's gender and race then moves onto Geno's information. With a slight chuckle "Thank you Geno, I wouldn't call myself a diplomat in any sense though. Although, I should stop wasting our time writing perfectly and just get it done, so for the sake of saving time the rest won't be as pretty." Coda continues on writing the rest of the group, stopping a few seconds in between in case that person wants to write their own.
OOC:
I'd like to think Coda's 'not pretty' writing is someones above average writing, like when you tell someone they have really nice handwriting and they just say something like 'oh no that's my chicken scratch'. It's up to you though.
Oct 15, 2016 1:07 pm
Kalis nods to Coda, giving permission for him to sign.

"It's just that all the diplomats I've known have had excellent handwriting..." Geno utters before stammering off awkwardly.

"Um. Regardless, good... good skills... to have there." Geno looks around briefly for something to speak about, and ends up turning towards the harbormaster.

"I see that The Fortune Star was originally heading toward Jheym Cay. We were searching for passage to the Tower, but I imagine the any passengers seeking out Jheym Cay were rather disappointed. Do you know the reason for the switch, if you don't mind me asking?"

The man looks up with a clear expression that he does mind, yet he answers, "No."

He turns to Coda and asks, "Are you done?"
