With only a cursory glance, Daniel can tell that the two locked doors are made of ancient petrified wood, bound with iron bands. There is a keyhole on one side opposite the hinges, which by their positioning opens the door inward towards the group.

OOC:
Are we doing more Geno-healing? Attempting to open the locked doors? Or proceeding down the hallway?

Daniel is going to take out his picks and try to open one of the locked doors, muttering something to himself.

The door appears to now be unlocked.

You hear another moan from above, as a gust of wind resonates through the opening of the tomb. At least, you think it's the wind.
OOC:
What does the party do now?

OOC:
I was waiting for Coda to heal Geno...but if he's going to pass on that, then we can move on.
Feb 13, 2017 4:55 pm
"Should I just leave the rest of these locked just in case?"
Feb 13, 2017 4:58 pm
"I would think so. No need to have stray monsters sneaking up on us."
Feb 14, 2017 12:24 am
Maenor nods in agreement and proceeds through the open door that Coda had explored.
Feb 14, 2017 12:50 am
Maenor walks along the hallway, which makes a looping turn until the way is blocked by a metal portcullis. The bars allow Maenor to see beyond into a room bare of any furnishings, with walls of blank stone. He can see that there are two closed doors in that room, but does not immediately see any means of opening the portcullis.

Maenor looks around for a way to open the portcullis.

Looking around the edges of the portcullis, Maenor doesn't see anything that might provide a clue to its mechanism. However, when he looks as the portcullis itself, he notices that the bottom crossbar has a large hole in the middle that shows signs of wear, like something was inserted many times. He also sees that the outside edge opposite the hole shows the same wear, and considering the large size of the hole, likely a hefty gaff or hook was slipped through and pulled.

"Anything of note down there? Nothing that looks like it might move, I'd hope?"
Feb 14, 2017 9:53 pm
Maenor shakes his head, "Unfortunately, not. It seems there was an implement of some sort that was used to open the portcullis."
Feb 14, 2017 10:11 pm
"Maybe this 'implement' is stored elsewhere down here?"
Feb 14, 2017 10:13 pm
"Like through one of these?" Daniel taps on a door with his cane.
Feb 15, 2017 3:48 pm
Geno, perhaps a little impatiently, attempts to enter the door directly south of the now-unmoving armor.
