"Yes, I was forced to cart everything along with the guards," says the man. "I can show you." He proceeds to walk you through the different rooms and pointing out their contents.

The barracks contain a variety of clothing and blankets ranging in quality from common to fine. There are also personal effects and small trinkets, though they seem of little value.

The armories have weapons of varying type and pieces of armor upon organized racks. All sorts of simple weapons can be found, including ranged weapons. Some martial weapons are present, but there are no polearms nor blowguns. The armor ranges from padded through splint, as well as shields.

The pantries contain food stores and kitchen sundries. Grains, salted meats, some vegetables, flour, and even seasonings.

The treasury doors are locked, but it is a simple task to retrieve the key from the body of the lamia. Inside you find a total of 2400 copper pieces, 800 silver, and 70 gold. There are also 7 gemstones valued at 50 gold pieces each, and six items of art valued around 25 gold per. You also find:
- A pair of fine gloves with thick padding around the fingertips and palm, and a stretch of fabric between each finger and thumb.
- A pair of crystal lenses set in a visor. The visor's bridge is shaped like a hawk's beak, while feathers extend past the temple through the ear hooks.
- A ring of rose gold set with a small ruby, that feels warm to the touch.
- A finely-crafted shortsword.

The man also tells you that the exit leads to a stable, where any horses and wagons would be kept.
OOC:
The map has been updated with room labels.

OOC:
Is it the same door that leads outside, and hence where we might expect the enspelled men to return?
Mar 13, 2018 11:06 pm
OOC:
Yes, the arrows on the map lead to a large cavern that serves as a stable, and the exit to the outside world lies beyond that.
Mar 13, 2018 11:55 pm
Maenor nods respectfully at the cook, "You have been most helpful."

He turns to his comrades, "We should inspect the stables before choosing what to bring. This man and his fellows should also be given what they need to return to civilization."

Coda grabs five gold pieces and a gem "They can have the rest of my cut." He searches through the armory for studded armor that is of his stature and a shortbow along with the ammo. He also checks the status of the vegetables and grains.
Mar 14, 2018 12:20 am
Coda finds a studded leather jerkin that is sized for a large person, but it hangs upon the halfling like a coat and skirt. With a little cinch of a belt, it would service well. He is easily able to find a good shortbow and arrows.

The stables has two horses in makeshift rope pens. There are also two wagons that are road-worthy.

Kalis doesn't hear anything that's said after the treasure is revealed, focusing instead on inspecting and cataloging it all.

OOC:
Are they one-horse or two-horse wagons?
Mar 14, 2018 10:17 am
Maenor looks for a breastplate, warhammer, longbow and arrows in the armories while he ponders what they should bring with them to complete their mission. He bundles the magical items for later identification.
Mar 14, 2018 4:50 pm
Maenor finds the items he desires, and works with Kalis to inventory the treasure.

He wisely sees that the wagons are meant for two horses each, but reasons that with some work and carpentry, they might be able to be converted for one horse.
Mar 15, 2018 12:05 am
Maenor holds his chin as he ponders. He suggests, "Two horses to pull one wagon, I think. Best to not overtax them, and to be thrifty in our choices. I would recommend first loading food, then clothes, weapons, and armor as space and weight allow."
OOC:
Forgot he doesn't have proficiency in martial weapons, so scratch the warhammer.
Mar 15, 2018 2:42 pm
"I agree we should load food first but should we wait here for a minute? We don't know what we are after, perhaps we can wait for a Sending from Rhiann. Besides that I think we're kind of at a loss..." Coda turns to the man, as if a light turned on "You wouldn't of happened to know a Dwiz Valeft, would you?"
Mar 15, 2018 5:08 pm
The man shakes his head. "Sorry, I only drive."
OOC:
Anyone can make an Intelligence check.

Kalis thinks for a moment, "Well, Rhiann said to use our best judgment out here, so I say we deliver what we've found to our contact. Even if they're not the exact supplies they were expecting, this pretty much covers the gamut of whatever they might need out there and its certainly better than nothing!"
Mar 19, 2018 6:48 pm
The man gathers a few supplies for himself, preparing to make his journey back home on foot. He pauses before he leaves, and turns back to you. "I don't know if it was fate or luck that brought you here, but thank you. My name is Darren. Darren Kadyrov. If you're ever at Frysor Stronghold and you need help, I'll do all that I can."

As the smoke begins to clear, Maribel is led into your presence by the white-haired goblin. "Ah," it says, visibly relaxed. "I saw the dog-men running into the desert. And here you live. No doubt you were successful?"
Mar 20, 2018 12:29 am
Coda walks up to Maribel and begins to pet her "Successful in one venture—utterly lost on our other—but yes, we slayed whatever seemed to control this place."
Mar 20, 2018 1:20 am
Kalis nods, "Thankfully, yes," he agrees, "Fortunately, we were able to scare away the jackals before we got into another fight!"
Mar 20, 2018 9:27 am
Maenor explains, "The creatures were being controlled by another, a lion-man with great powers of the mind. We have slain this leader, and so his followers are scattered or freed. Once we have taken what you need, you are welcome to the lair and its contents, though I cannot guarantee the dogmen won't return once their fear has diminished."
