OMG! Weird characters like that are great! I've been debating making a character who is totally screwed up by necromancy experiments gone wrong: mainly in that they now have 4 souls and personalities of the dead trapped inside their body which are constantly swapped in and out based on a d4 dice role.
That would explain why Seraph is so childish though!
Yeah! That's my wife's character, Branwen. She's a magic crow, a pet of Nym the Ravenlord, who had the power to steal anything (memories, bodies, etc.). She ends up stealing the body of this ten-year-old on a whim (or what she thought to be a whim) and is now trying to change back. She dropped hints all throughout the game about how her character was a crow (this was never made public to the other players), talking about how she has a really big family, and her character always being excited by getting to hide in high up places. She could also talk to crows. She was rogue, but... it was flavorful and fun, so I allowed it.
Anyway, she's in the process of realizing that the 10-year-old whose body she abducted is just as special as she was.
It's been a really fun character though.
And yes! Seraph has a very real reason for being childish. It's something that the other group hasn't really figured out yet, and something that your group definitely could.

Thanks. No worries. Looking forward to what we find next.
I'm looking forward to telling what's next. It's about time we jump into a new thread, anyway. I was planning on rolling with 1 thread per expedition, but they're turning out longer than planned, which is great! This next area should answer a lot of the concerns about there being too much hack n' slash.
Going to give Devanis and Erran a moment before I continue with batman's turn.
