Stage 1 - The Massholes!

As fey magic depletes his hotness, Swingin’ Dick bellows a battlecry!He whips his vine around one horn of the Mountain Face’s head. He swings about to kick Lacey and Gong-Ju!When he lands, he whips a vine at Murasaki! "GET OVER HERE!" he shouts!He casually whips three knives at the fairy!

Gong-Ju tries to block the attack before counter striking when the oni lands!

Murasaki sidesteps the vine and advances on Dick! "I do not need an invitation." She manages to score a painful graze on his thigh with her beam katana-turned-greatsword!

Lacey sidesteps the attack, and is still in a position to retaliate!

The oni seems to be reeling, so she decides to play it a little safer and blast it with her mace! But a different mace this time; rather than targeting the eyes, she sprays it into the bastard's ears! It'll burn like Hades, and hopefully reduce its hearing!

Knives were decidedly not chill, and Gemini didn't appreciate them. She twisted as best she could when the knives were flung her way and avoided the worst of them. She had to catch her hat, which meant that her return spell went awry though. It might've been for the best, because her heart wasn't in it, but she still wanted to be helpful to her team.

"Buy me dinner before tying to stick stuff in me." She grumbled, throwing a middle finger at the oni.

"Eep!" Gon-Ju squeaks, too slow to dodge as the oni prepare to stomp all over the hapless mermaid!

Lacey is also unable to dodge the strangely-freaked-out mob...but she's luckily able to spray them with some more of her ear-burning mace!

Murasaki tries to maneuver her way through the crowd, but despite her best efforts, she get thrown around, suffering bumps and bruises in the process.

Dazed but not out, she muscles her way through the mob and throws herself over Gong-Ju, getting trampled in the mermaid's place!

Gemini sees the danger her friends are getting into, and not being one to leave a friend in need she rushes forwards. It's not the best plan though, being as small as she is, and she soon gets lost in the crowd...

The devilish lemmings inflict a lot of damage—running over all of you before they trip over each other and tumble down the rocky slope!

(Perhaps spraying an oni or two with mace caused the lead oni to stumble from loss of equilibrium, and there was a semi-literal domino effect?)

At this point, Swingin’ Dick could probably just swing away. But he can’t resist seeing three of you down, and Murasaki right there in the fray where she tried to pull Gong-Ju to safety.

He uses his last special move: "TOTAL DICK MOVE! HRRRAAAHHHRRR!!!"

Swingin’ Dick leaps high in the sky, does a quadruple flip, and dives downward! Just as you start to pick yourselves up—

BOOOM!!

—the scorched earth quakes! The bone-rattling impact may be more than you can bear! The erupting flame rises too fast for the fairy to zip up outta the way!

Those who remain conscious will see that Swingin’ Dick is stunned. (The mace in the ears may have a stun effect on oni when there’s a really loud noise?)

Gong-Ju raises her trident up defensively, and it glows as its magic absorbs some of the impact from the blast! Crying out, she leaps upon Swinging Dick, unleashing the power she just absorbed back into him, then jabbing at him repeatedly with the trident!

Gong-Ju takes the blow, but it’s not enough to drop the mighty mermaid!

She strikes back immediately, and before Swingin’ Dick can get another attack in, she continues her relentless attack…!

Lacey gets hammered by the arrogant oni's devastating attack!

She had some incredible follow-up attacks in mind, but it's all for naught!

Is this the end? Slaughtered by a monster...unable to save a gentle-hearted Maiden...unable to help her newfound friends?!

She may not have been fast enough to get away from the coming impact, but Gemini is used to quakes and shakes. Any skater worth their time knows how to roll with the falls and get back up to keep going. That's exactly what she does, rolls through the shake and takes to the sky where she sees...

Lacey in trouble!? That's not a radical concept, and not one she'll allow to stand. "Hold on girl, I'm on the way."

Gemini does what a bottle fairy was meant to do—only this time, she had a choice. And her magic was even strong enough that she was able to heal her friend without knocking herself out!
