Scene 6: Epilogue

The arcane workshop burns, but may still be usable if it is cleaned up and a new ceiling is built. However, Leana, Brickowsky, and the rest of the party are safely tucked away inside Inn Plain Sight.

Alax Jadescales, now eternally grateful for the rescue and Pouncy's safe return, has created a veritable banquet of food and drink including platters of mouth-watering, all-you-can-eat hot wings. Now freshly made and with a new and improved sauce! Alax had a lot of time to think about what he could do to make his hot wings even better.

The hot wings are even better than what they had imagined. Savory, spicy, slightly sweet, and a new umami burst of flavor on the tongue that was missing from the magically preserved hot wings the sorcerer had given them before. Roaring Kitty certainly had no qualms in scarfing down more and more of the never-ending fresh hot tendies coming his way now. Brickowsky washes down his share with the reserve beer that Alax had stored away down the other passageway in the caves. Pouncy purrs and rubs against Leana's leg while downing her own share of hot wings. Merton and Hindle do not even talk as they gobble their own platters of hot wings gleefully. Derv and Firina swap stories as they refill their platters of hot wings.

"Truly, Pouncy and I owe our lives and our livelihoods to you adventurers. You will always be welcome at Inn Plain Sight, on the house and with fresh hot wings morning and night. I believe Cinderhowl will leave the valley be, at least for now that she has her egg, and you certainly have earned the rest of the gold that was promised to you."

Alax pulls out bags of gold to hand out to each adventurer from his own bag of holding.

"What will you do now?"

Burping loudly in the typical dwarven style, Brickoswky hits his chest with his fist to expel the last bit of air. What a day! Grinning, he bites into a new tendie and beams from ear to ear. Defeated a Sorcerer, freed an inn keeper, climbed from dark dungeons to the highest peaks and faced a dragon. His left pinky is starting to itch a little. Defeating a dragon like that, well! - it's in the blood of the dwarves. A red one at that! And then the hoard!

But somehow he would feel shabby doing anything in front of the unright fully kidnapped egg. And anyway. Cinderhowl had only descended to save her offspring and not to inflict suffering and ruin to the dwarven people. It's okay to let her go.

Lovingly scratching Roaring Kitty between the ears, Brickowsky raises his tankard and bellows: "We celebrate you Alax! These are the best hot wings in all of Faerun!"
