Chapter 4: Level 3 dungeon

"Did our fallen friend have a magical weapon that I could use? It would seem a valuable asset here."

I say we finish them off if possible. We will need to continue gaining strength to overcome this accursed place. I can enchant my club for others to use (Shillelagh) and my beast form is empowered to stride the undead. Though I did not fare as very well against them last time I can try to take the brunt of their attacks while in my beast form. Or I can remain in back and support. Our downfall came from the loss of our cleric. As long as we can draw the ghosts out without triggering the curse that befell Tante we should do better.

Tante can you bless some of our water to create holly water?

"IF you have the powdered silver, I can. I have no such material I'm afraid."

I have some coin and a blade. Surely we can fabricate the needed powder during the 24 hours sitting around or not

"I think if I use my greatest magic to hit the ghosts with magic missiles in combination with our best physical attacks, we should be able to defeat them handily.

"Well. I will cast of some protection and let us go hunting." She streches her wings a bit and is ready to cast and move.

"So we are fighting ghosts. I confess I did not pay much attention to the fight you had; I was busy trying not to get stepped on. Can you give me a rundown of what they are like, what worked, what didn't work, what vulnerabilities you discovered?"

"Only magic weapons harm them. They don't get hurt much by fire or lightening. And they can walk through people or walls." and she adds on with a smile, "And seem to ignore frogs."

"The only thing that seemed to do full damage, from my bag of tricks, was magic missile. They were resisting fire, lightning, thunder."

"Well spirit guardians or spiritual weapon would probably work. There were but two you said; if needed I could summon a Celestial Guardian as well. How many were there the last time?"

"There were 4, plus they raised a lesser specter. There are two left, and they were damaged... but I don't know if they would recover by the time we go back."

As you discuss standing there in the tomb you hear heavy steps - someone most probably wearing metal armor seems to be running the grand stairs. Maybe that's another of those flesh-and-armor constructs, maybe something else - you better take a look regardless - you decide.

Once you move out into the stairs you see a dwarf in chain mail running. Your first thought - yet another undead dwarf... but Tante Lude recognizes Orsik Anvilbreaker - another cleric who were in the same party with her and Tobias. Based on disoriented look of Orsik he have probably had the same fate as Tante Lude.

Orisk seeing Tante"There you are. I have been looking for you guys." Looking at the others "Wait who are these people? What happened to Tobias?" Orisk will pull his war hammer and level his shield and be ready to try and rescue Tante.

"Orsik! You as well. Maybe all of us survived after all in some sense or another. Your strong arm and wise mind are certainly welcome."

Tante Lude moves forward and takes him in an armored embrace, though a heavily perfumed one presumably.

"You are probably feeling disoriented; I was. Time has passed and events have happened since we last met. These are friends; Tobias is dead, killed by ghosts. But we will have revenge and seeing you, I begin to have faith that we may yet win out of this tomb of horrors."

Cautious at the new arrival but glad Tante recognized him, Nyx steps forwards to greet the stout dwarf. We are all play things of the insane wizard. Have you any arcane skills or weapons? These ghosts seem to fear little else.

Watching Criella keeps her lovely pose as she observes Dwarven Orsik. "Perhaps Orsik will do better than Tabias did? Shame Tabias didn't make it." Slight inter conflict in Criella as she recalls that she didn't do well either.

"Well. It is a fine time to end the ghosts if they haven't already fled." She will still cast up protection before exiting to attack the ghosts.

"I am Tinkara. Tinks to my friends. If Tante Lude trusts you that is enough for me. We will certainly be glad of your shield and arm in dealing with the denizens of this place."

Realizing she didn't introduce herself to the new Dwarf, "I go by Criella." and of course her comely pose. "And I too like so see how well you fight as well. You are a Dwarf after all." She flips her playful forked tail around as her amber eyes view the new Dwarf. She doesn't do her favored full succubus appearance and keeps her large bat shaped wings folded. And she carries a rather lavender scent upon her.

Her worn gear does hold a touch scratched up appearance as of recent ghostly events. She favors a pair of jeweled handle scimitars to her sides and breast plate for more protection. Fine longbow in leather case upon her winged back and she wears a healthy lot of precious silver jewelry. Obviously, a narrow backpack matching her wing space. She very much has that charming adventurer appearance.
