Chapter 4: Level 3 dungeon

Orsik is confused on just what this skull is about. What is its purpose at all? Why was it put here?

Inquiring Criella states, "So, you're not just a spell." as she takes note. "Ah but you are after my time. So, I wouldn't know of you. Interesting." "Now if your polite enough not to chatter when we need silence, you might be of interest to keep around."

She adds on, "You at least not imposing as the keeper of the Unicorn Horn was that I have but you do have a tongue. Although it is nice to have someone with a bit of age to talk with. Shame that you couldn't be in a comfier position besides flying around me. It surely will not go well with citizens although we here have no problem with it."

Obviously, the point that the Golden Skull rather appears to be made of gold, interested Criella has no thoughts on taking it for its gold. She is much a fan of silver anyway. She wasn't into stealing it for its gold although that would stop her for $$$. Push comes to shove.

Everyone who this their PC is trying to understand Yaka' motivation could roll insight. DC 15 as skull is not showing that directly. Drats. Just missed that. If I'm allowed to toss on some guidance from our handy dandy cleric, then it is success.

Criella spell casting is Ranger Based so no Guidance or really much of deity connection. She is more into nature as expected except she is more interested the Underdark rather.

Orsik will cast guidance on Criella.

Tante Lude continues to listen to the golden skull; hard not to.

I will go with Nyx to examine the figure at the end of the passage.

Based on new ugly jokes aimed at Criella when she asks not to chatter and even more of her own age when she talks of Yaka's age you understand that Yaka's mind is somewhat limited: it thinks it is trying to entertain someone (probably king or queen) by making jokes about Criella. However limited it is, it's dark and cynical sense of humor is and ability to supply an endless stream of deadpan banter is all that is left of the person.

Orsik happened to work with mad people and realize while it is pointless to negotiate anything with Yaka, it is still possible to get some information from him by directing his jokes in the right direction.

Meanwhile

Tinkara crawl through the crawlspace and spot the construct Nyx was talking about. It is obvious construct spotted her, but it does not react in any way.

I watch the construct carefully. Is it doing anything, or just standing there?
