Cool. Unless I missed something though, I thought the roll was for future suffering. Do we know we have anything yet?

We don't know we have anything, but I assumed we know the bugs and stuff got into our tent based on the description. I thought it was more of a preventative rather than a curative, which is why I went ahead and used it. But I'm glad to just have it work however it made the most sense to use it.

Also, we were all supposed to get one bottle of it except for AJ and Al who got 2 cuz there was 6.

Yeah I am using it preemptivly as all the movies where there is a jungle theme people are getting all kinds of diseases from bugs

I will be out of town next week from March 16th through the 23rd. I will not have internet access during this time so I will not be able to post until I return on March 24th.

Was doing some reading to make sure I understood my abilities properly. Does persistent damage not stack? For some reason, I thought it would. Like adding 2d4 persistent fire damage would make it 4d4 persistent fire damage. If not, then I'm struggling to understand the primary intended use of Foretell Harm (outside of 2 extra damage, I guess). My initial thought was that it could be used to easily double up the fire damage from Incendiary Aura at the cost of becoming cursebound.

Just trying to understand the best way to play my class. :)

Edit: Honestly, I'm generally confused about how persistent damage works in general. The rule says something about doubling or halving damage based on the results of an attack or save as normal, but what's the save? Is it the flat DC15 save to determine if you recover from it? The rule seems very vague.

Persistent damage of the same type doesn't stack, you just take the higher value.

Foretell Harm is just a little bit of bonus damage. That's why it's a free action. :)

But the aura is good because in case the enemy makes its save to end the persistent damage, you just need to hit them with another fire spell and they start taking the damage again.

Some effects that cause persistent damage allow a save to reduce how much they take. But in general, once a creature is taking persistent damage, there isn't another save to reduce that amount.

At the end of the creature's turn, it rolls for how much damage it takes. Then it attempts a DC 15 flat check to try to end it. If not, it will take damage against next turn and keep taking damage until it succeeds its flat check.
