No, but I am making sure the player knows that you might kill (or worse) your character with you choices. You were warned.
The old stay-puft-marshmallow-man rule. Roger that. I will try not to kill the entire party.

Yep - so for the record and with your approbation, I will alter Herman to have one for willpower instead of insight. n'est pas?

No idea what that means.

I don't know about approbation, but go for it if you want to. But Insight is as valid.

The Attributes are deliberately vague, and the uses are examples for a reason. You can decide which you use in each case. This should be borne out by the fiction of how you describe your character doing anything. (It could be worth reading Blades in the Dark as a game that does this in more detail).

I thought it was a pretty standard ghost busters ref - my bad.

I have sold myself on willpower vs insight. thank you for your suggestion and I will check out BitD since that one is new to me.

I think I got the reference, though I have no idea what the 'rule' is. 'Choose and perish'? Maybe?

You could, of course also go +1 in both and -1 in Prowess. It is your choice.

kinda like "never fight a land war in russia in winter" - "its never safe to use harmless magic in a ghostbusters movie"

Really? I don't recall much magic use (by none-gods). But then I only recall the first movie and the one with the kid on the dirt-farm.

My vague recollection: Zool was creating things from their imaginations and Bill Murray told them to quit imagining dangerous things.... and suddenly there is the giant marshmallow dude wrecking havoc.
