Gann makes his break as the giant comes roaring and lurching after him, its heavy footfalls shaking tree branches as the guardsman slips into the woods north of the clear. Was he glimpsed by the monster as it pursued him, making its way to one of t he large woodpiles in the yard.
"AND STAY AWAY!" the giant shouts at Gann as he grabs up a large, dead stump from the woodpile and
fires it towards where he thinks the little goblin might have gotten to. Branches crack and break as the missile explodes against a tent, showing the whole area with sharp shards of wood!

This is Impaired Damage as the giant doesn't have line of sight on his target, and he's really targeting just an area of the woods. Take 4 damage. Adjust for your armor and take that damage to your HP, then STR if HP gets knocked out. This is not a potentially debilitating injury, so you won't need to make a Save if you take a point of damage to STR.
While this is happening, Wren slips back inside the giant's stinky hovel, and finds herself at the bedside when the thrown stump crashes into the food.
At the western edge of the woods, Nessa readies her dagger and watches as Sable confronts the onlookers... who blink back from the bushes that conceal them. They say nothing, but shrink down and back, away from the attention...
