I think we're at the end of the chapter?

Gertrude still has to open up Yola's gift, but then yes! Gertrude gets to decide exactly how the chapter ends. :)

I've advanced Parish's and Yola's journeys based on the number of tokens they got. Amelie's token gives them a chance to edit their programming, which I'll do later today. @CESN,@gesges you can see if Gertrude and Yazeba did things to advance their journeys. I believe at the least that Yazeba recognized Gertrude's efforts and offered her a real job. And I'm pretty sure Yazeba was mean to several people!

Since neither Gertrude nor Yazeba have tracks on their journeys, we can use their tokens for assorted tracks. If we put them all towards the book club one, we can complete it!

We have one Square Memento now. We can use it in the Front Desk to unlock one of the other guests that use a Square Memento (Bethsy, a spoiled white cat hunting for a treasure; The Dabrowski Family, Lily & Her Dad Bill, an exhausted wizard-in-training and her oblivious father; or Rowan & Zephyr Lyrathiel, a pair of dandy elven bards with foppish and cosmopolitan tastes). Or we could hang onto it and wait to get more mementos to unlock other shelves.

Either way, we'll need to choose a new chapter to play next!

My vote goes to Lily & dad or the Elven bards :)

Perhaps Gertrude can mark "Yazeba acknowledges my effords"?

book club sounds really like the right thing after this chapter. there were a lot of books involved :)

I think I managed to be mean to: Yola (who deserved it?), Amelie (who can take it) and Gertrude. I think Parish managed to escape... this time...

For Gertrude, my gift was intending to take her "under my Yazeba's wing" and give "her a job", and cross 2 tracks with one gift while open potential for another one down the line! These and the fishing wish ca easily be followed to cross "getting a close friend", "Yazeba acknowledging effort" and "helping other guest".

A slice of cake would look good on the Front Desk for the guest to take, or on Yazeba's study given the way things when. But I guess it's better to focus on unlocking stuff so we have more diversity down the line. Actually, do we have access to the guest options to check what they are looking for? In principle I'd like to see how a "a spoiled white cat hunting for a treasure" would play out, but given he votes, maybe Lily & dad

I'd say Lights out to have more flexible/different characters for the next one.

Since Bethsy needs to be played in specific chapters, picking her is the optimal gaming choice for slow PbP (avoid repeating chapters). But I like Bill's potential for cluelessness

We can retroactively give Bethsy credit for chapters you've already played before she was unlocked if you don't want to unlock her just yet. :D

I created a new subforum for miscellaneous roleplaying separate from the chapters. The first thread there is the book club! We can post there at our leisure for some extra fun.

ouch, sorry, just re-read that @the generator wanted also Grackle! sorry! I am happy taking another character if you finally decide to play him. Someone has to play Parish too, I enjoyed him!
