"Er... something like that." Viviana agrees, a little freaked out by your rapid assessment of her. She sees the bags of shopping, partially explaining why you have 'brands' on your mind —she tries to dress-down, do avoid attracting attention, but it is still flattering to have someone notice that this does equate to lack or style.

"Is that your ... sister?" She asks, possibly trying to change the subject and delay having to commit to a date, that is a big first step for her, though she is definitely titillated by the offer.

Circe is chatting happily with the staff, actually causing a bit of a backlog in the impatient queue by distracting both of them from their work. She is enjoying being the center of attention.

Persephone glances over to find Circe's flirting causing a coffee-related traffic jam. She laughs and says, "Ha, yes. That's my little sister, Circe, visiting from the States. I had agreed to take her shopping, as you can see. Kind of a sisters' day out, you know? We haven't seen each other in a while so it is nice to catch up--and to spoil her a little, now that I am able to do so!"

Sensing her discomfort, Persephone suggests, "So, what if we both happened to run into each other here tomorrow, around the same time, and I happened to ask if I could use an empty seat at your table? Then we could chat more, without my sister causing a scene at the coffee bar! And hey, I'm just suggesting that we get to know each other. Who knows? Maybe we'll just end up as good friends rather than dates! Though, heh, well, I'm hoping it's more than that."

"Tomorrow‽" Viviana sounds a little panicked by the suddenness, but she also does not want to say no. "I... I couldn't... but... maybe Monday?" It sounds like she is wanting to give herself time to pull out if she chooses, she could just not show up. She has not offered to exchange numbers, even though she worries she will regret this decision later.

"You're... you're not also 'visiting'?" She asks, trying to sound casual, but really making sure you are not going 'home', to America, before her date.

Postponing this till 'next week' so we can do the weekend retreat first.

Persephone pulls out her phone and consults her calendar. "Monday works. 10 am, here?" She adds the event to her calendar. While she has her phone out, she says, "And here, let me give you my number. So you can let me know if your plans change, ok?"

Assuming Viviana is willing to take her number, Persephone shares it, and adds, "Feel free to text if you get bored, or wanna chat. Or have a good meme to share."

When Viviana asks whether or not Persephone is visiting, she looks up and laughs, saying, "Oh no, London is home. I live in Mayfair. I went to undergrad here, too, then grad school at Stanford, and now back for work. It felt like coming home, to be honest. But hey! That kind of getting-to-know-you talk is for Monday!"

She smiles and makes meaningful eye contact with Viviana, then she adds, "And I'm looking forward to it."

After a moment, she looks back and Circe and says, apologetically, "Ok, well, I should get going. She's gonna bring the entire coffee industry to a standstill if I don't get her out of here. Besides, we have some very important shopping to do!"

She begins to walk away to rejoin Circe before turning momentarily, smiling, and saying, "Have a nice weekend!"

Viviana was hesitant before, but now she is getting uncomfortable with how hard you are pushing. She was trying to give herself an escape hatch —"So sorry. I must have missed you."— and setting times is a lot more solid and deliberate than she is comfortable with so suddenly ('date and time' has the word: 'date' in it:). Exchanging numbers makes her accountable. This is feeling less like a casual meetup anymore.

Her urge to bolt for the door is increasing. You know that she will regret that... in the short-term. In the long-term, avoiding associating with you would be to her advantage... but you will pay the price for making contact and flubbing it.

Benji shrugs. "As you wish." It matters very little to him whether Emma wants him to taste her blood or not, but he wasn’t going to lie to her about the risks involved. He is quite sorry to have scared her though… Is it really so spooky down here? He always feels very safe down here in the tunnels, but he knows humans have very different instincts when it comes to such things…

The name Alastair Sinclair rings a bell, but it takes him a little while to remember where he’s heard it before. "I know the name, but not much about the man. I believe he’s an associate of a wizard named Chaudry, who got in some trouble a few years back in relation to a hellhound fighting circuit. Chaudry’s been up to something these past few weeks too – he sent demons to attack Jacob’s shop for some reason a couple weeks ago. That’s where I got the head wound." He gestures to the shorter patch of hair just above his ear. "I don’t know if Chaudry and this Mr Sinclair are still friends, but if you think he’s involved in some kind of ‘infernal cabal’, then it seems likely."

"So he is involved in infernal activity" she felt a thrill run through her. These weren’t just a bunch of wealthy weirdos in masks trying to spice up their boredom. This was a real cult, that delt with real demons. She unlocked her phone and quickly tapped a few notes to herself. About Chaudry. The Hellhounds, the relation to Sinclair. And Jacob. "This is perfect" she talked to herself as she typed "Forget a chapter. This might even deserve its own novel!"

She slipped the phone back into her pocket and turned back to Benji "I should get back. Finish packing" she looked even more determined then before to poke a bit into the affairs of the gentlemen club "I’ll let you know how it goes"
