Blast it! Jandral curses as he watches the men swimming away. He looks at the boat the captain is pointing at. He'd thought of that, but he's no sailor. He curses again, and makes for the boat. He pulls one of the crew along. Help me with the boat! Let's go rescue those men!

OOC:
I'm going to say that you used a Dash action to swim ahead of one of the sailors, interposing yourself between him and whatever his destination is. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to catch up. You can try to grab him next turn.
Tordek pumps his little dwarven legs and pulls with his short dwarven arms, overtaking one of the crewmen.

Jandral struggles to work the davit. "Come on, man! We're going to lose your mates!" he cries, urging speed from the sailor he recruited.

As Haesh peers out to the rock spires where the sailors are swimming he sees a strange shape.

"There is some strange large bird out in the direction the sailors are swimming!", he shouts to his companions.

Haesh runs to meet Golwen. "Go and do what you can to save those men! I'm a terrible swimmer, so you go and I'll man the bell!"

Rhodrick maintains his hold of the sailor. The first mate comes over while the two of you struggle, and thanks to Rhodrick's grip scores a solid smack across the crewman's face. The sailor lets out a dull groan, nearly slumping in Rhodrick's arms as he reorients himself.

Working together, the crewmen lower the small boat to the water. Inside are four oars, some rope, and a net. The sailor that Tordek landed on swims to the boat to climb inside. Meanwhile, the five men continue swimming, picking up speed.
OOC:
Besides Parallel and Jandral, who else is going into the jolly boat?

OOC:
My intention here was for Jandral to persuade one of the sailors to go on the boat with them.

OOC:
Whether or not the sailor joins you on the boat depends on who else climbs in.

I am not... I would definitely sink in my chain mail if I fell off

OOC:
We have a sailor or two on the team, don't we? Can't remember who. Or was it one of the people who dropped out?

OOC:
I am, and I believe Rhodrick is as well.

OOC:
But you're already in the water. I guess we're picking you up. :-)

"Drop anchor!" yells Captain Yokgrumli. The rest of the crew not involved with the jolly boat rally to the starboard side to release the anchor and steady the ship.
OOC:
Currently there's Jandral, Parallel, and one sailor in the boat (the one who was already in the water). Tordek is currently out of the water, but can freely climb aboard. Who else is getting in, if anybody?

Golwen leaves Haesh to man the bell and runs to the railing. As he assesses the available space in the small craft and measures it against the room needed to allow for rescuing the men from the water, he sends a mental command to Rhevia - Fly toward the rocks, friend, and get us a better look at what we're up against.

Golwen then calls down to his companions in the boat, "Should I remain on the Cutter so you have room for the rescued crew, or do you need me?"
