Alto steadies itself against the slab, recovering its senses.

Tenor turns Alto, tentacles writhing. It then looks at you all. I will remember this, it spits into your thoughts, and with a gesture of its hands, Tenor vanishes with a faint popping sound.

A split second later, Alto does the same and disappears.

Soprano continues to attack Haesh, tentacles reaching out to ensnare the warrior (21 vs AC, 16 psychic damage). It manages to latch around Haesh's head, pulling the man closer.
OOC:
Player turn!

Haesh is grappled, and can escape with a Strength (Athletics) check DC 14.

His targets gone, Parallel switches to his shortsword as runs to the aid of Haesh.
OOC:
I can only draw one weapon per round, correct?
He then disengages and steps out of reach of the freak.

Aided by his companions' attacks against Soprano, Haesh finds enough leverage to pull himself free from the tentacles.

Tordek focuses on his holy symbol and prays for the blessings of his gods. Haesh, Naozar, and Rhodrick feel emboldened by divine assistance.
OOC:
Haesh, Naozar, and Rhodrick are under the effects of Bless (add 1d4 to any attack roll or saving throw).

For sake of clarity, I noticed that Haesh hasn't used Second Wind, and neither he nor Rhodrick used Action Surge. I'm guessing you are saving them for something else, but I wanted to mention it in case you'd forgotten that you had taken a long rest.
Soprano reels back, screaming as Haesh breaks free and the blades of his companions strike deep. Surrounded, its high-pitched voice screams into your minds I hunger! I will devour you all! It lashes out at Tordek, but the dwarf slaps the tentacles away with his shield.

"I hunger, too...," Parallel spits through gritted teeth, drawing his dagger and sharpening its blade across his sword, "time to make sushi!"

Quick as a cat, he dives in, cuts twice, then disengages, moving back to 10’.

Both blades stab into Soprano's body, drawing a gout of blood. The creature remains standing and active, but its condition appears worse for wear.
OOC:
Thanks for the correction! I'll update the post as well as my notes.

Strain as he might, Naozar's mind just can't seem to break free of its psychic prison.
OOC:
Holy crap, that's 6 rounds and counting!

Haesh takes a deep breath as he focuses his mind on the task as hand.

Rolls

Second Wind - (1d10+2)

(5) + 2 = 7

Oct 23, 2017 1:04 am
OOC:
Critical hits only take another damage roll, without modifiers. So it'd be 1d10+1d10+4.

Bless only affects saving throws and attack rolls, not damage.
Soprano reels from the two-handed swing, the warhammer smacking it right in the mouth.

Tordek wades in, holding his shield up to ward any counterattack as he slaps a hand on Haesh's back. Divine warmth spreads throughout the warrior's body as his wounds knit and close.

Rolls

Cure Wounds on Haesh - (1d8+3)

(8) + 3 = 11

Oct 23, 2017 1:19 am
Soprano stumbles backward from the onslaught. Its skin looks dry and cracked, flaking off with each strike from your weapons. The tiny pinpricks of light in its eye sockets appear dull. What... is happening? its shrill voice rings in your minds.

Almost desperately, the large creature leaps upon Tordek and reaches over the shield, tentacles latching onto the dwarf's head and pulling the cleric close (20 vs AC 18, 21 psychic damage). Tordek's eyes roll back into his head and his holy symbol falls limp to the floor.
