I’ve been crazy busy the last week, haven’t had a chance to post properly, will put an update through soon though.

Alright, back to it. Sorry about the hiatus, things got really busy for quite some time, but now I've managed to carve out some time to continue posting.
So, I'll assume that Sylvana is wearing the armour. The water spirit answers Yvandra by saying "if you think you're worthy, then take the blade and depart, otherwise leave this place empty-handed". Meanwhile, as Alvin is swimming with the box, he is able to find the edge of the pool. He hears something slithering around in the dark, and a slimy pale figure emerges from the shadows of the cave. The creature looks like a lizard-man of some kind, except it's white in colour. The creature is accompanied by a strong smell of ammonia, strong enough to make Alvin's eyes water. The creature has a bone spear in its hand, which it throws at Alvin as he's down in the pool. Alvin is hit through the chest, and is severely wounded, but is not yet dead.

Alvin does his best to dodge the lizard-man and his spear, but he is caught in the chest and he can feel his life force draining away. He wishes he had more time, but he steadies himself upon the edge of the pool, breaks open the sword box to use the sword, and does his best to injure the lizard-man before his inevitable end.

Yvandra's goal has always been to protect others. That is her reason for joining the militia and for assisting Alvin out of their town. She cannot assist without some way to protect others so she decides to respectfully step forward and take the sword.
