Another idea would be "Fortune's Edge" - if we play up the pirate angle as it ties in the broadsword but also sounds legitimate enough that people will still want to deal with us.

I know it's a little late but, I will weigh in on the suggested names.
I'm not keen on having any association with Folly. I don't think that word would be good for marketing.
I like Fortunate Sun. Fortunate Suns also sounds good to my ears. We'd have to assume the star(s) in a system are still called Sun(s).

If we don't want to make an assumption, the names Fortunate Star(s) & Fortune's Star sound good to me.

I dropped Fortunate Sun as I was watching a documentary on the Vietnam War and CCR started playing…

Hello!
I experienced an earthquake a little while ago. Mag 3.5 centered in S. TN. I know it's not a big earthquake but, it's the strongest and longest one for me so far.
The wave pattern was pretty cool! I have some plants with long, thin, flexible branches that gave me confirmation of what I was feeling. The branches would shake a little then more then less as the waves passed by. This was definitely not like I've experienced before today. The first quake got me in trouble for kicking the couch my mom was lying on. That quake was centered on a New Madrid fault line. I was in HS in MI for that one and frankly, I didn't really feel it.
The second quake felt like a strong wind was pushing on the building. The wall joints and rafters popped during that one and there was definitely direction to the little quake. There's a fault in S. IN that caused that quake.

I remember my first quake. We had just moved in at Vandenberg AFB in California when a mild trembler began. I was in the bathroom trying to pee at the time. As a 13yo, I distinctly remember thinking that it’s not fair for my target to be moving… lol!

NERD mode ON
This might sound like I am one upping , but I am not I am in a funny way, excited that so many of us have similar experiences. .....I remember my first earthquake in Japan as a Navy Brat living in Yokosuka Naval Base where i was a clerk after school in the hobby shop. On a Saturday the earthquake hit and many of the Tamiya models were falling of the shelfs and I ran outside the shop into the hallway to see the building slightly twisting, kind of freaky for a Freshman in HS and not realizing gravity of the situation. It is neat hearing from all of you in the game relating their experiences.

I've never lived in an earthquake zone like CA or Japan. I'm not sure how I would react to a "real" earthquake. This little bit of shaking was interesting. Of course, I'm a science geek so my mind went into total scientist mode.

I knew a guy fom the Midwest who went to CA for grad school. He stood braced in a doorway during his first quake shouting "We're all gonna die!"

I don't think I'd be like that; I hope!

We could name our ship "Proud Mary". The name just popped into my head the other day. I guess my brain moved on from "Fortunate Son" to another song on the Greatest Hits Disc in my brain.
🎶 "Rollin', Rollin', Rollin' on the Spinward"🎶

I know, Spinward doesn't fit as well as river. My allergies are trashing me. My head hurts!! IDK what has bloomed but I'm very allergic to it! It rained yesterday and it's supposed to storm today so I think the pollen is washed out of the air. Maybe my immune system is just that upset with me that it's still irritated. I'm trying to feel better so I will tolerate singing in the choir while sitting behind the drum set. I'm not a masochist so it's looking like I'll be a couch potato instead of a basso baffoono, I mean, basso profundo."

Proud Mary would be a good option if we needed to change the name again

I lived in San Francisco for 8 months and not a tremor...

My first was Jackson Michigan in the late 1960's early 1970's
My second was Hartsville SC in the mid 2000's
My last was Lewisburg PA in the early 2010's

Any others, I didn't notice
