"Teamwork is something I think we're still working on, but I'm optimistic about it. By the way, did you say leshys? Like tree people? We had myths about them in the world we came from. I wonder if it's all just the power of imagination or something else. Prolly nothin' I'll ever know for sure. Either way, I'm ready to go whenever. Sounds like good practice for whatever this Starday Tournament thing is you mentioned. Wouldn't mind throwing myself at something like that now." Starting to feel like I'm in my own anime if we get a damned tournament arc.

The Leshy Gardens are an overgrown section of the campus, a riotous tangle of trees, shrubs, and vines amid carefully cultivated green space, such as sparring fields and picnic sports. It is to one of these cleared sparring spaces that Lesedi leads you. Apparently, word has gotten around of your test, as several students have chosen prime spots around the field to watch, some with picnic lunches.
A small humanoid plant creature with a gourd for a head waits here, waving to Lesedi as she approaches. The petite elf speaks to the leshy, who nods her gourd-head enthusiastically. Lesedi turns to you. "Okay, they're all set here. Get ready!"
They clear the field. A few moments later, a loud rustle blows through the surrounding trees. Stepping out from behind the hedge are two 10-foot-tall constructs made of branches woven into humanoid frames. They hold wooden sparring swords in one hand and large wooden shields in the other. Within the constructs, plainly in control, are two smiling leaf leshys. One gives a brief wave. The constructs bow to you before assuming defensive stances!

Before you can react, the constructs move in and attack Dalton! They then raise their shields to ward off your attacks.

Seeing the spectators gathering around their challenge area at the Leshy Gardens was somewhat shocking, but also exciting. "Oh boy, we get to put on a show!" Before the bout begins, she bows back to the cute leshys. "Tree mechs. Amazing."
Just as she begins lighting up with power, her friends and the leshys start beating the tar out of one another. "One of these days I'm gonna be able to let loose without burning you guys too, but don't worry I've got a new trick since the demon potato!" The orb of flame that had been expanding in AJ's hand arcs off into air as a ray, raining down like long-range artillery. After launching her flaming torpedo, she dashes around, trying to find an opening that will let her unleash a wave of flame without hurting her allies.
Heightened (+1): The ray's initial damage increases by 2d6, and the fire damage dealt by the burning space increases by 1d6.
