Preparing for Departure (Fornice)

"Who else is going to join Mama & Tamm for some cheap beer and company?" Tamm asks the whole crew.

"Count me in Tamm" replies LC with a flash r a smile that he uses in court to win over the jurors

"Plus I need to see Smugg, need to see about our guest passengers have any further instructions. Also we need to see if there is any intel on our Knight."

Thinking for a moment LC turns to Leilani and asks;
"Baron Nekaii, can you use your Imperial standing and cred and found out what you can about our Knight that is a passenger?"

"Bronz - and Leilani do either of you find it 'odd' that a Former Army Major, Knighted at that, is headed to Jokotre for 'pleasure/tourism'??"

Looking around at the crew
"Does anyone else think this is odd? Or is it just the suspicious Solicitor slash Customs official in me that is thinking this is ...off?"

Previously when Said-Ma had the advert for the high passage
LC to Said-Ma
"I hope you don't mind the edits to the passenger advertisement. We don't need any bad luck following us." (smile)

LC with a mock look of shock on his face
"I never said I was not going with you and Tamm."
He then grins

"I said of course I am ...silly I owe you a drink...."

"Yes, ma'am, all in hand. I've secured the Trade Benediction from the Archdiocese and the cargo license is being issued as I speak. They are lovely people, and they seem warm to the idea of Miss Fortune being recognised as a Starbound Companion. I made a sort of confession about being fascinated with the stars since I was a child. I think they see me as a potential proselyte. Although, I'm quite drawn to their faith to be perfectly honest."

"Cheap beer is my favorite kind of beer. Happy to tag along once I sort out this circuit."

Rin will pull out a multimeter and a few other tools before following the wires as instructed, checking the voltage along the way.

Tamm responds to Rin with a smile that does reach his eyes.

This little jaunt will lead them to the same dive bars Tamm frequented during the extended leave.

LC Chuckles back
"When I just think her tail is a bit long is what I am saying. What do the other members of the crew think? Especially Ma-Ma, Alice and Leilani?"
LC leans back in his chair in the Galley room and lifts up his Kaffe mug and takes a sip of tea.
"Get their opinion and get back to me. How does that sound?"

Since the engineering tour, Bronz had been quietly working his way through the engine room and low berths, checking for wear, loose connections—anything that might need attention. Back on his old ship, there was always something to fix. No scheduled maintenance, just patch what broke before it killed you.

But here? With the annual maintenance just wrapped, everything was already in order. Too clean. Too quiet. It unsettled him, like he was missing something.

So when LC suggested heading out for a drink, Bronz welcomed the break.

"Yeah, I’ll tag along," he said. A little time with the crew outside the ship might not be a bad thing. So far, he'd kept mostly to himself—observing, not engaging. This could be a chance to change that.

As for LC’s comment about the ship logo, Bronz just gave a small smile and said nothing. He’d seen far more questionable designs on ships he’d served on. If the others were fine with it, he had no complaints.

LC turns to Bronz before the crew heads out on the town

Bronz stares off for a moment, then replies, voice low and even. "Not the kind of class I ever ran with, but yeah… he’s not heading there just to see the sights."

He shrugs slightly. "Still, long as we’re not tied up in whatever he’s really doing, doesn’t much matter. A fare’s a fare, right?"

"Yes a fare is a fare, as long as it is not going to bite us back, right?" LC says with a smile.

Still LC runs a check with his contact 'Brother Smugg' to find out about the Major and if there could be a problem.
